Romantic Antics: Episode 1 Part 2
Riley, the romantic she is, decided to go one a SimDa date. Things really started well...
BUUUUT, that didn’t last long.
In fact, they were arguing before even entering the restaurant.
They went to a little place in Windenburg, called Mama Chele’s, known for their vest wine collection. Riley would need the alcohol.
It was quite the hot spot this particular night.
You know what wasn’t hot?
Riley’s date.
He literally did not look her in the face one single time during dinner.
Instead, he found himself entranced in conversation to the very married woman next door. (lookin’ good Geoffrey)
And the neighbor to the other side.
And his phone.
Drink up, sweetie pie. You’ve had a long evening.
Geoffrey Landgrabb is looking better and better by the glass.
After the date was done, Riley came home to find the kitties were literally growing in the blink of an eye.
Josie headed out on her own playdate, ready to make a new friend.
Hopefully...
They went to Archie’s arcade for a snack and some video games. She even decided to sit at the bar like a big girl.
Just as Luna was taking her place next to her new bestie at the bar Josie gets up and moves. *mumbles* Dumb sims.
But they were reunited at the arcade machine where they competed for the prize of... bragging rights.
And my girl Josie kicked some ass.
They finished their outing with a little praying they wouldn’t fall flat on their face... Uh, I mean rollerskating.
And again, my girl kicked some ass... Okay, there is no “winning” in rollerskating, and technically, Josie was still REALLY bad. But Luna MAY have been worse (or not, matter of opinion.)
So, the girls end their first few days with a little quality time. And- Oh! Wait? What the heck were those townies doing in that leaf pile? Pick up aisle nine!
Josie FINALLY finished her electricity project... whatever that means.
And it was entertaining enough for Riley to eat dinner to! Apparently not Birch, though.
That is all for this episode. Join me next time for episode two where we celebrate our first holiday, Halloween (original name amirite?), and I HOPEFULLY get better at this storytelling thing! Or not...
Till then, night night my little pixels ♥♥♥
Romantic Antics: Episode 1 Part 1
Riley and Josie got down to it when I started my game. If we want a successful wedding business (florist/bakery) the girls need to start on their skills. For Josie, that means getting good grades while building her gardening skill. Riley in the meantime needs to get chopping... literally.
Plus Riley has to deal with the challenge of tolerating a teenager. Bring on the eye rolls and exasperated sighs.
Thankfully, it isn’t long till Josie is making friends with, cool girl, Luna Villareal.
Instantly finding herself engaged in normal teenager activity... The quality of her Simstagram pics have never looked better.
But Riley just wants to keep things straight and tidy. The OCD in her is starting to kick in... Maybe a laundry machine and a dryer should be on the priority list.
Josie may not agree though. Shocker.
She needs to be more enthusiastic about her gardening less about Lilith Pleasant’s new beauty line. How many shades of black eyeshadow does a girl really need?
Back to the cooking, Riley manages to upgrade her food from completely revolting to barely edible. Go Riley!
Meanwhile, our leaf pile is up for grabs by the funkadelic town weirdos. Let’s just hope nobody gets too groovy in leaves, there are children here after all.
Riley is a romantic. Naturally, I thought online dating would be ideal for her. But it is starting to feel like she somehow ended up on Simder and not EAHarmony.
Josie is aiming to be a better student... So she came home with a bunch of homework. Jeez, these school projects take...
FOR-
EV-
ER!
Then some company stops by and- who is it?- hello?- what the hell is all that hissing for? Sorry bud, I teach my girl to never let in strangers.
But hey, going out for some late night gardening isn’t out of the question apparently. Mmhmm, just walk past the hungry master vampire with your young virginous blood so you can water your daisies IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!
Then get back to the school project from HELL.
(Before I go, I forgot to introduce these two cuties. Birch [left] and Twilight [right] are not siblings, I figure they’d make pretty babies.) Anyway, part 2 will be up soon. :-)
The Howards Introduction
Hello there! Riley Howard is pretty much your typical 20 something. She’s been alone with just her love for baking and romance novels up until she was given custody of her teenage sister, Josephine, or Josie for short. But the past isn’t all that important. Riley just wants to focus on her future. What is so interesting about that, you may be asking. Riley has a dream. Her dream is to open up a popular wedding shop with her sister. She’ll bake beautiful cakes, cupcakes, and decadent cookies and the creative Josie will arrange gorgeous bouquets and create stunning arrangements. It is an amazing dream but like anything in life, it won’t be easy. Will Riley be able to save up enough simoleons to open a shop while living at the tiny house her grandparents' house? Will Josie adjust to a new school and life? Will their business even be successful? And what happens when The Sims 4 Seasons literally rains on their parade? Stay tuned and find out.
Josie is clumsy and creative with a love of flowers...
Riley is on the other side of the spectrum as a perfectionist who loves edible plants more than just pretty ones. But don’t get it wrong, she is a big gooey romantic!
And the cottage they live in is quite cozy... Two things: I wanted to make a nice house so kaching happened. It isn’t a legacy or a challenge so no “rules.” Also, I apologize for the crappy graphics.
I guess,
what I am trying to say is,
would you want to be ...
my
girlfriend?
☺️
The closest thing i've ever had to a romance was when a french exchange student repeatedly kissed me on the cheek and I thought she had a thing for me, but APPARENTLY that's just how they greet each other in France.
Long story short, I never saw her again and I'm single forever.
Once you start drawing lines, you'll always be drawing them.
I once read an article here in tumblr about knowing some things before going to college. And wow. Am I glad I read that article. It's true.
Not all dates mean you're going to end up in a relationship with the guy or have a romantic fling.
At first I thought it would be awkward and weird. I'm not used to people not thinking anything more about two people laughing over coke floats or teasing each other over sizzling dishes. Or walking in a very dark road and talking about the murder in that very street during a rainy night.
The first one was with this guy I met during the enrolment days. He's from CEAT and we just sort of started talking about random things and sometimes call each other during the summer. And then one time we ate at Mcdo. He sat with me even though he came with his friends. I like him. I don't know why. I just do. There are people who you meet and something just clicks even though there's nothing particularly special about them. Maybe it's because I know he's good in Math and he knows I suck at it and I can always approach him if ever I have problems with the subject. *all smiles here*
The second one was with a totally different guy. You can immediately tell there's something special about him. And then I got to know him and now I am really sure there is something special about him. When he asked me where I wanted to eat, he was like: "Fastfood, restaurant, cafeteria or convenience store?" I said "Fastfood." And then he said there's no nutrients in a fastfood. I shrugged and let him choose the place. We went to this four-storey cozy restaurant in some alley outside the campus. And then before the waitress could put down the water, he went all: "Dont drink it! It might be tap water!". I couldn't stop laughing. He then rant on about how he knows which water is tap or distilled. We talked about music, Geology, Biology, terror teachers, Canada, singing and then we almost left without paying for our food and the waiter had to run after us. *very embarassing moment right there* His friends labeled him as Mr. Suave and oh I could see why.
But I'm not into any of these guys or anyone else. Although I felt weird when he asked me if I ever had a boyfriend and all I could do was shrug and say no. I felt inferior after hearing the endings of each of his relationships. Like duh. I never even started one of my own.
I'm not pressured by that. Oh no. I don't care if my friend keeps telling me I need to "get laid" soon. ~ And then we talked about the definition of "laid". (A girl and a guy lying on the same bed playing forts. There is a huge fort of pillows between them and they are not talking. Getting laid.)
I'm still this hopeless romantic, I guess. But I'm not that hopeless that I'll start romanticizing everything. That's just ridiculous.
It's strange and disturbing how my school changed a lot of my views in just the span of a month.
