MAKING LIFE BEAUTIFUL ༊*·˚

beauty is a high value of mine, it makes life worth living, and with that i don't mean conforming to commercial beauty standards, but cultivating a beautiful environment, inner thoughts/mindset, and lifestyle. here are some things i want to do to make my life more beautiful:

avoiding stress by doing tasks and assignments early

feeling refreshed by not staying up late

experiencing the sunrise and sunset by waking up early and being more mindful of my environment/nature

having a clean and tidy room

having an organized digital space

having an athletic and flexible body by regularly exercising and stretching

having an uncluttered mind by journaling my thoughts everyday

having a positive mindset (no self-loathing, ugly thoughts!)

making life meaningful by not only consuming, but also creating beautiful things through creative means

pursuing my hobbies (writing, drawing, singing, dancing, crafting)

eating less processed food & more beautifully prepared healthy food

being hygienic by smelling good, caring for my nails & hair, and wearing stainless clean clothing

avoiding stress by not being forced to hurry

concentrating being in the present moment

minimizing social media usage

creating a nice atmosphere with matching music

basically romanticizing my life

i hope these tips help you cultivate a more beautiful life too! i might make more blog posts if i feel inspired, because they are pretty too ;)

Time moves differently there. Entire days can go by, seemingly in an instant.

HOW TO ROMANTICIZE YOUR LIFE

Hello my angels !! Haven’t been feeling your best recently? Life feeling blasé? I’ve had my fair share of shitty days that comes with the teenage girl experience, but I’ve found ways to make everyday more enjoyable! With that, I’ll be talking about tips and tricks to help romanticize your life!

DISCLAIMER: I’m not an expert or claim to be when dealing with mental health but with what I’ll be mentioning I found to help me feel more content in my life. Some may not apply to you completely but hopefully you’ll be able to take away a thing or two from this <3 thank you!

01: Stop listening to sad music!

Now I’m not saying to completely cut it out of your life but don’t wake up and immediately play “pretty when you cry!” The sad melody already puts you into a depressing mood before the day really got started! Try listening to more upbeat songs while getting ready for the day <3

I find it to help set my mood for the day and feel like that girl! My go tos are kpop (especially Twice!), Ayesha Erotica, PinkPantheress, and Chase Icon! ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜

02: Dress up more!

Whether it’s a cute Pinterest inspired outfit, simple makeup, or just styling your hair; ready to take on the day looking cute. You’ll feel way better! I recommend putting hair clips in your hair (if they match your outfit, the better!), putting on glitter eyeshadow to make your eyes pop, or paint your nails a cute color. Anything that brings your heart joy <3

I used to not care about what I wore to school my freshman year but once i started putting more effort into my outfit + makeup, it made me happier! I love looking for outfit/makeup inspo on Pinterest (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) ‹𝟹

03: Have a signature scent!

Pick a lotion and perfume to use every morning, could be a matching set or similar scent profiles (use Fragrantica for this). You could go a step further and have a matching scented body scrub/wash! I recommend purchasing a travel size spray bottle to put some of your perfume into and keep it in your bag so you can always smell good on the go <3

I actually have a whole collection of perfume so this is also a way for me to get through it all!! My favorite ones are from Victoria Secret. They have deals from time to time so make sure to check every now n then to see if they have any deals on their perfumes ( ≧ᗜ≦)

04: Start scrapbooking!

Keep receipts and cute packaging to make scrapbook collages! If you have trouble using stickers (like me), use them to add more cuteness to your journal spreads! It’s cool to look back and see what your day or week looked like in collages! Don’t worry about not being consistent, just have fun crafting <3

I love it whenever I get the time to sit down and create something!! It gives my mind a break from overthinking into the oblivion and just focus on what stickers go with the page (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) ‹𝟹

05: Make your room smell heavenly!

Good out and invest in a candle of your fav scent! Light it (safely!) to have your room smelling amazing while you lay in bed scrolling on your phone or when you’re scrapbooking or whatever is that you do! If you aren’t comfortable with lighting a candle, I recommend a candle warmer. It melts the wax without the worry of starting a fire by accident. You can buy wax melts to put into your candle when the wax runs low <3

My go to scents are on the sweet, bakery side! I love walking into my room to it smelling like a cafe. I recommend going to Walmart for cheap wax melts since they’re only a dollar and twenty cents! (At least where I’m from/last bought) They have a huge selection of scents so I’m sure you’ll find something ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜
