Monet's garden in Giverny. Do you know who the truest love would be?? A wild young girl who walks beside me through such a magical place, hand in hand, warm skin pressed together on a cool summer morning. A bee, working diligently, first flirts with and then seduces each flower. The girl with the wild soul picks a flower and puts it in her messy bun and then waits. Our industrious little friend circles her head and kisses the flower. Only then does the girl lift her hand slowly, allowing the bee to alight. Delicately, she brings her finger to her lips and whispers conspiratorially to her passenger, who buzzes excitedly and flies away. She watches the bee, rapt and joyful and completely at peace. Turning back to me, she touches her finger to my cheek.
