Today’s long haired anime guy of the day is:
Romberg
Why are some works of art valuable? Artist Osvaldo Romberg challenged the western art historical canon through his 1970s series, “From Prehistory to Manet: An Emotional Analysis of Art History.” Using reproductions of widely admired artworks by masters such as Caravaggio and Ingres, Romberg used his art to assign his own cultural value, using a complex system of charts, diagrams and color theory combined with his personal notes. Learn how he interrogated and deconstructed art history, our systems of cultural value, and the artistic process in “Homage to Osvaldo Romberg,” on view now.

“Let us rejoice, therefore, while we are young.” I’ve loved Mario Lanza’s powerful tenor ever since I first heard it as a boy. Marvelous voice, ham though he undoubtedly was.
