Today husband and I were allowed to attend mass at the Chapel of the Chair in St Peter’s Basilica, and it was hands down the most beautiful religious experience of my life. There were tears streaming down my face after receiving Communion.

Afterward, we waited in St Peter’s Square and saw Pope Francis for a special Angelus. I brought our rosaries and held them out during the Pope’s blessing; it felt extra special since today is the Feast Day of the Assumption of Mary.

Altogether a spectacular last day in Rome.
