Wikipedia says Ron Carter has recorded on 2,221 albums, which I’m guessing is a low estimate, and has recorded with some of the most notable names in jazz, including Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Roy Ayers (on his 1968 album “Stone Soul Picnic” and his 1969 album “Daddy Bug”).
