Bring on the baby hair halo!
Thursday rundown •I didn’t run much this week porque the weather sucked and I started my period.
•I stuck to my guns and kept to my diet! I’m not really calorie counting so much just avoiding carbs and limiting my plate load. I’ve actually found that to be easier and I’m pretty sure my stomach is shrinking because I’m getting fuller faster.
• Today’s run was actually pretty easy. I almost did a full 15 minutes of nonstop running! I just have to remember to keep my head and and swing my arms. If I focus on that and my posture then the rest comes easy!
• WEEKLY WEIGH IN As of today I’m 183.6 lbs (6 pounds down since last week. There's a good chance that's all water weight.) regardless, I’m proud of that!
Ps- I look like a slug in this picture and I love it 🙃
Thursday Run Down
Hooooookay. So I weighed myself when I got home. Officially 189. Not too bad! The current goal is to get to 167. I was super comfortable at that weight and then I stopped working out like an idiot. I'll also be starting up with my Keto Diet. So far I just want mac n cheese and rice! Breakfast: Black coffee with Splenda Scrambled eggs 2 sausage patties Lunch: Steamed broccoli with light cheese Snack: 2 string cheese sticks Work out: 1 mile run 20 sit ups (2 sets) 35 jumping jacks 25 squats (2 set)
First run back! I feel slightly better than I had over the week when I decided to do this again. Let's hope I get way better at this with in the month!
April 20, 2017
I start today with a goal, run 1 mile when I get home. A little back story, I weighed 240lbs and dropped to 167lbs in a year. I fell off the wagon and have be bumped to about 194lbs. This can't happen. I have to go back, I was happier with the way I looked. I'll post starting pictures later. Stay tuned!
The terrible toos in running.
The terrible toos in running.
Too soon, Too many, Too fast. Mostly a beginner’s offense to the basic rules of running. Also seasoned runners coming from a running break or a race commit the offense of increasing their mileage Too Soon. Ignoring the “build a base” rule of training can quickly lead to injuries. Adding Too Many miles to their weekly totals and not observing the 10-20% increase per cycle also spells trouble.…

Unbelievable
For someone who has never run more than a mile, completing 13.1 miles is a huge sense of achievement. One keeps hearing of tales of such determination, of success, of humans pushing the limits and to experience it is a whole different feeling. I am confident my few miles is a springboard of more to come. Absolutely loving it
My running journey - only a few miles
I have never ever partaken in any such endurance athletic activity in my life and consider this as a huge personal challenge. I have to be honest – I have had difficulty running a mile ! And then I came across Team Asha in April of 2013. Asha is a nonprofit that is striving to catalyze socio-economic change in India through education of under privileged children. Education for the under privileged is a cause that is very close to my heart. With small steps (literally) and a whole lot of training, I was able to complete my second half marathon - San Jose Rock n Roll October 2013
