Hi. So, my rooster keeps attacking me. Is it humane to clip his wings so he can't get out of his pen?

Okay so you need to look at why. Do you have another rooster? Look at what happens before he attacks you. Are you holding another chicken? or have you held one of his chickens in the past who wasn’t happy. He may be defending them. You may need to build up your relationship with your rooster, lower yourself and feed him treats. Even carry him around for ten - fifteen minutes as you do something else. I have to carry Big Guy around sometimes when he is naughty and he does calm down so it may help. I am not personally big on clipping the chickens wings, if he is specifically jumping out of his pen to attack to you then maybe feed him treats him in the pen with the chickens so he associated your arrival with treats and hopefully that will encourage him to stay in.

I can't have roosters in the city limits. This jerk didn't want to be held while waiting outside for his new flock to come pick him up. The solution is to make a chicken burrito.

Today we shame Bingus McDingus the Wondercock for pecking straight into the heart of my cutey Texas thru my sweatshirt. His damage to my calf piece isn't as obvious cuz it's mostly healed, but I stg this feathery douchebag must be in cahoots with my lil ol grandma the way he wants to come at my ink.

Time for chicks!

We had a long winter with little to no eggs. Getting 0-3 eggs a day,  I was forced to buy eggs from the store! I forget how spoiled we are until I eat eggs from a store. It’s like eating those ice cream dots instead of Haagen Daz.

Although our girls have picked up production now, we always add new chicks every year to replace the older girls (3-4 years old) that have stopped laying.

I got chased by a tiny rooster today. And every time I turned around to look at it, it'd just "cock-a-doodle-doo" at me and continue chasing me. And then it tried to get in the car when I was trying to leave. And then when I shut the door, it jumped on the hood of the car and "cock-a-doodle-doo-ed" some more until we sprayed it with windshield-wiper fluid. It was a good day.

so i have this rooster right, and his name is Beyonce. And he fucking hates me. He is fine with everyone else but when i am in my cabin he sits out side my door crowing, and when i come out he attacks me. And when im at work he sits outside the back door and attacks me when i finish work! I just got attacked then and he drew blood, then chased me all the way to my cabin and wouldnt let me inside. Maybe he's upset that i named him Beyonce, he certainly is a diva.
