I’ve entered this painting into an exhibition in Blacktown. Mostly because it’s where I grew up. For a while I lived near the fire station with a dear friend who has since passed. I reckon he would have loved that I’m still painting. He’s the one that showed me how to break the rules and push the edges. I look forward to visiting the space where the Robin Hood stood (demolished at midnight one Sunday morn), where I worked as a barmaid, the gym I trained at, the shopping centre I practically lived in (with zero money lol), and maybe I’ll catch a train to Rooty Hill and hang out with my old peeps. Catch you then my friends. #artexhibition #blacktownartprize #rootyhill https://www.instagram.com/p/B3UAX1gB4pC/?igshid=1udu9kd8tb693
