The Duplicitous Bard

What would be a better way to start the new year than finishing an old art piece? Here's my charming bard, Ember. Some of you might remember seeing her ink before. I'll put the link at the bottom. At some point I added colours and shading on her, but I wanted to go a little further and spent quite a long time on the surroundings. I'm pretty satisfied that I didn't get bored any earlier, and now I can finally call this finished. ^^

I’ve had some pain issues with my hand lately, so I’ve tried to take it easy. But since I can’t keep away from pencils or styluses, I’ve tried drawing with my non-dominant hand instead. Just holding the stylus is pain right now, but learning will take some time.

In this practice I tried to draw a similar face to find tricks how to learn as fast as possible. My goal is to gain so much control that I could add flat colours with my right hand. It’d give my dominant hand a lot time to rest during the day.

More uncontrollably ugly sketches will follow. :D

I don’t think I’ve actually ever drawn some of these before. About time!

I haven’t touched my tablet for a while that feels like forever, but I’m pretty sure it hasn’t been that long. To get the stylus control back, what could be better than a nice simple colouring task similar to any coloring book – only one that’s not especially exciting, unless you really enjoy vegetables.
