I feel like this what Wayne would tell Eddie to do if you could barely walk to the van with all the mud.
But Eddie being the Himbo that he is, he would probably try to pick up bridal style, could barely balance you, legs shaking, feet already sunken in, and both of you end up in the mud.
But even with dirt and grime all over, you and Eddie laugh it off at how ridiculous you both look.
Wayne sees how the both of you are completely filthy, but laughing. He shakes his head, but chuckles. He tells the both of you to clean your mud track in the trailer as he leaves for work.
The entire drive to the plant and his shift, Wayne has a smile on his face. He's happy that his boy finally has someone to be comfortable with.

wayne would love you so much that he'd set the wood thingys there for when you visit because his knows that nephew son is an idiot who doesn't learn from his mistakes and he'd try it again 😭
For sure, Eddie will constantly do this. He will do this even after decades of being married, having a couple of kids, even grandkids and having greying hair together. He will still make comments as if you two are back in high school.
he absolutely would. no matter what, he'd always have a crush on you just like he did back in high school and he'd do all sorts of silly lovestruck boy stuff <33
Imagine this with Eddie and your kids.
You have been married for 25 years now, your kids are now grown. One of them surprises you with a tattoo that says "'86".
You and Eddie ask why '86, they said it's the year the got married. You and Eddie decided to elope on the day of high school graduation and get married right after the graduation ceremony.
Both of you decide to pull on their leg and say you got married in '87, watching your kid's eyes pop in fear. But start laughing and saying that you were just kidding and pull them in for a hug.
It's one of the best anniversary presents.
