He hates seeing ladies in distress. It was the anti-thesis of a knight--of someone who was supposed to protect fair maidens, and those who could not protect themselves. So of course, like any honorable, chivalrous knight would, he approaches the lady and bows to her.
"I apologize if I'm intruding, my lady," he says, straightening and directing a smile at her, "but I do so loathe to see a pretty maiden in distress. Shall I buy you one of these bears? Would that bring a smile to your lovely face?"
