Hello!!!! I really like what you say about normalising racism in hp like this recent phenomenon of loving pansy Parkinson is particularly baffling to me like she is so awful??? I just wanted to ask what your opinion on slughorn is??? Bc personally like I always loved slughorn even tho he is a deeply flawed person but sometimes I feel like I shouldn't be so fond of him because he definitely had blood purist leanings at times ://

I think having blood purist leanings is a little different in the HP universe than silent racism In real life, or at least when it applies to Slughorn and his situation. Slughorn was never a death eater, he accepted and was fond of muggleborn students, and he fought against voldemort in the final battle. I’m not saying that his prejudices are good but all together he is a kind hearted good person and I really like his character as well!

I really can't think of my favourite quote but one of my favourite hp parts is in dh when Harry tries to tie his shoelaces with magic and rly fucks it up and Ron goes "I'd do your flies by hand though" like idk it's just such a simple moment before everything goes crazy for them
