guess who i haven’t drawn in almost two months? oops. i decided to work on their design a bit, its less bulky at least. get ready for a wall of text.

They volunteered to be experimented on/become a cyborg because chronic pain and some un-diagnosed ilness was starting to cause a rapid decline in their health, and since they couldn’t afford treatment alternatives or decent prosthetics in their current budget they saw this as their best option. also risk of dying wasnt really a fear because that meant the pain would be over

Necrosis started from their furthest extremities and they had pieces replaced over the course of a couple years. recovery was shit but they could still go see friends between surgeries and do things they used to only watch since pain sidelined them. Peat (their petpet) was given to some friends to be babysat and the plan was the work would eventually be done and they’d come back. They were also experimenting with some sound-based weaponry, strictly to incapacitate and not kill, so they would get some training after this and become part of mall security which sounded great! life had a path and it was good. 

With hooking up some wetware(??) brain stuff and giving them better eyes as sight started to go there was a little wobbling around still being a person vs property of the station. unbeknownst to them the fail-safes that stop mechanical parts during a power surge/extreme conditions also shut them down, “them” being the living consciousness in their head.

and then at some point they end up shut down in a closet some time during Sloth’s return. maybe to keep them safe or out of enemy hands, who knows. her body died and dried in her casing becoming sort-of mummified (though the body housing is probably looks a lot worse inside because organs and juices and stuff) zombie mashed with robot parts. and then Nebublue found them and tumbling out of the closet jostled something to wake the machine up.

uh here’s a figure of where the flesh parts are. they don’t know what caused the damaged to them or took their leg casing but now the legs a weak point.

being any kind of security/alarm system is off the table right now because they don’t have a lot of control over their speech/sound systems. rarely it cooperates but mostly they’re speaking nonsense at a range of varying volumes and relying on sound recordings for clearer segments of sentences.

finding old friends would be pointless because as far as they’re concerned the cybunny has been dead for years (literally still is dead) there’s just an AI shuffling around with their corpse. Peat found them and honestly it’s probably been worse for them than anything because over time they’ve slowly had to accept this isn’t their owner any more, even if it can produce some old segments of speech and knows his name due to a few files in their corrupted memory.
