I found out today that Bobbie Winthrop was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx; she died Sept 5, 1927 and was buried Sept. 7th. She was buried in the same plot as Jay Brennan; he was part of the vaudeville comedy team Savoy & Brennan. Savoy was the female impersonator in the act, not Brennan. (Savoy is buried in Woodlawn too, but across the road) I'm wondering what you know about the woman who paid for Bobbie's plot---Mrs. Ann Herman (or Hermann?) She's a mystery to me.
Heyo!
I don’t know how old this ask so I apologize for not getting to you sooner- I’m not on tumblr alot except on my phone and it’s crappy. I don’t know much about Ann Hermann unfortunately outside of that she owned a small lot that was used as a sort of potter’s field for discarded theater folks (Brennan included). Tosches mentions her briefly in King of the Jews but it’s more a rhetorical question concerning AR and Bobbie.
Can I asked where you found this info? I love other sources!
Also I’ve read before Anna Hartman if that spelling helps at all.
Just found you through your Loki ponytail sketch (which is amazing btw) and I'm now going through your archive. I've never even watched one ep of Merlin but I'm reblogging some of your Merlin sketches because your details are just exquisite!!! I especially love Quiet Moment.
Dear awesome person, thank you for making my Sunday! Thanks for this wonderful message, I am really super happy that you like my things! ‘Quiet Moment’ almost killed me so I legit fistpump whenever someone likes it <3

Rules: Always post the rules . Always answer the questions from the person who tagged you, then write your own questions . Tag 5 people. Tell them you tagged them.
1. What is your favorite dessert? I have a doughnut problem of epic proportions. I would have them after all three meals if Diabetes didn't exist.
2. How do you get to work or school? How long does it take? How do you pass the time? I have a beat up Nissan Sentra. On a good day, it takes about 35-ish minutes (if I go straight there...which I almost never do). I listen to music on my iPod and I talk to myself A LOT. I often say that my car is my therapist. If it ever writes a tell-all autobiography I'll be in DEEP shit.
3. What do you see when you look out your bedroom window? (or any window of your preference in your home) Our parking lot and the apartment complex next to us.
4. Would you rather cook a meal or wash the dishes afterwards? I actually don't mind washing dishes that much but given the choice, I'd rather cook. I love cooking. I'm pretty good at it.
5. Do you believe in ghosts? I'm pretty sure I've seen one at a place I used to work. I thought it was just my tired brain after a long day but then much later I heard someone describe the exact same thing in the exact same room. AND, a theater that I've worked at has LOTS of stories of hauntings. I was there late one night (one of the last ones in the building). A door around the corner and down the hall from me slammed REALLY loud (like louder than it should have been able to without structural damage). It startled me but I didn't think much of it. I figured it was Security patrolling or something. Much later I was reading about some of the stuff that other people had experienced in the building and slamming doors were pretty common. And, thinking about it much later, I realized that in all the time I worked there (about a year-and-a-half) and all the people moving around going back and fourth through that hall, I only heard that door slam with that much force that one time. Just a coincidence? Maybe. But that theatre has A LOT of stories about it so...
that was fun
My questions:
1) Beer or wine? And favorite brand (or favorite cool beverage if you do not drink alcohol)
2)Who is your current favorite band?
3) Who was your favorite band when you were a teenager? (if you are still a teenager, who's your OTHER favorite band?)
4) What is your favorite article of clothing?
5) In an alternate universe in which time, distance, money, appearance, or sexual preference was/is not an obstacle; who would you grab and marry this instant (in this particular universe whoever it is WILL say yes. And just to make it more interesting, historical figures count too). If you aren't the "marrying-kind" how about permanent cuddle-buddy, gamer-pal, or movie-BFF.

1) Where are you from? I grew up in Inglewood, Ca. It's not in the city of Los Angeles technically but still, it's LA. 2) That one fictional character you hate. True Blood - Season one - Sookie's brother's girlfriend (what was her name even?) I HATED that character SO MUCH that I kept saying "Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!" every time she was on the screen. It wasn't the actress, I just hated the character. 3) Fave food? Mac 'n' cheese 4) Do you have any pet peeve? (idk,is that how you say it?you know, little things that get on your nerves) I don't know what the proper terminology would be but I call it Conscientious Ignorance. Having problematic, or just plain incorrect, views that you that you hang on to with a deathgrip and you just won't hear conflicting information or viewpoints. Global warming naysayers, anti vaxxers, anyone who sticks their fingers in their ears and yells LALALALA when faced with, you know, FACTS. 5) Do you speak any other language apart from your main one? Unfortunately, no. I understand a tiny bit of German ( I listen to some bands from there) and an even tinier bit of French ( three years in High School, where did it all go?!) 6) What do you do when you’re bored? Tumblr, or I read. I also do a fair amount of craftsy stuff when time permits. 7) HP or the Lord of the Rings or ASOIAF or none of them? Hmmm. I liked the LOTR movies an awful lot, but with HP I liked both the books AND the movies so I think I'd have to go with HP. 8) If you’re a whovian, fave doctor?if not, fave character of all time? Tom Baker. Always and forever. 9) Is there something you will never ever throw away? The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is family photos. My music collection is a close second. 10) Do you have a song you’re obsessed with? That changes regularly. Currently: And We Run - Within Temptation 11) The thing you like the most about you. I can step in and get shit done when I need to. It's an odd form of laziness. Like "What do you need? ok HERE. Imma go sit back down now."
Questions:
1) Favorite movie of all time?
2) Re:question 1 - Why?
3) Favorite book of all time?
4) Re:question 3 - why?
5) What got you into Tumbler when you first started?
6) Favorite visual artist? (fanart or regular)
7) Mac or PC?
8) How many songs are n your iPod? (or iPhone or computer)
9) Do you have a "so-bad-it's-GREAT" thing that you love?
10) Do you have a favorite perfume/scent?
11) What's one place you've always wanted to visit?
