One of the beauties of Band Camp Boyfriend is that you can play the routes in any order--and I would encourage you to do so! Play that crazy common route and see who you wind up with naturally!

However, some fans have expressed interest in a Recommended Route Order. So here it is plus a few tips!

Beating Peter and Sam’s routes unlocks that sweet Side Story--which needs to be beaten in order to unlock the Final Route!!

Peter is a good route for dipping your toe in the water plus it’s heavy on romance. ;)

Don’t play Peter and Clark back to back. Since they serve as foils to each other, you might leave one route with a bad taste in your mouth for the other. Cleanse your pallet with a different route...like DOUG!

Dunno if you’re doing any analysis at the moment for ikevamp; but I was wondering if the game reveals what order all the suitors came to the mansion? I know Shakespeare was first but that’s it. Otherwise, what do you think the order would be?

It all really depends on if the ENG version chooses to follow the same main story order as the JPN version does. In the JPN ver, the order goes as follows:

Shakespeare Comte Dazai Sebastian Vlad Faust Charles (not quite out yet, 8/14/21)

My best guess is that Comte will be the Christmas surprise, as he was released 12/26/19 for the JPN ver. Dazai would be the spring release of the following year, with Sebas then taking summer/fall. Vlad would be a Christmas release again (12/24) while Faust (Spring) and Charles (Summer/Fall) take up the following year.

As to what comes after that, I haven't a clue. But if we continue to follow this pattern, it could mean Act 2 or new character releases in the JPN ver this Christmas season. I'm curious to see what direction the game will take...

just a thought, but my recommended route order for Bustafellows is:

Limbo -> Crow -> Helvetica -> Shu -> Mozu

then the rest. i think Full circle is better as an ending to the game than Auld lang syne, but as storytelling goes both have been fantastic.

Hello~ i was curious if you know the order in which the ikevam guys were released in the JP version? I know that the EN version could be different (like ikerev), but i’m still curious lol thank you in advance ^^ and i hope i didn’t bother you with this question >_

Is there a specific or suggested route order at all? Looking forward to the game, can't buy it until the 1st. <3

I think it will be fine to play the routes in whatever order you prefer. But if you really wanted a suggestion, then I’d suggestion Elliot or Corvin first, and Ewan last.  

That said, I honestly don’t think playing Ewan first would ruin the experience of the other routes. That’s just how it makes sense to me personally!

Ikemen Revolution - route order

So Cybird suddenly announced today, July 7 2018, that Edgar will be the next route in Ikemen Revolution.

This threw me off, since Sirius was supposed to be next. But apparently, Cybird said at AX that they will not go the JP route order for Ikemen Revolution!

Edgar is the most popular one in JP, so I’m guessing they’re now going to release after popularity or demand? 

This brings me to the next question: How will this affect the events? Will they change the order for events too, or will they go the normal way for those? And will they then potentially spoil the main routes for characters that were released in JP by that time, but aren’t in English yet? 

An example for this is Several Shades of Sadism. Murayama isn’t out in English but has been for a long long time in JP, and the events are pretty much spoiling his main route, that is yet to be released in English.

On the bright side: I’ve done all walkthroughs so far, except for Kyle...

We am really happy that our favorite trickster's route is coming (FRICKIN FINALLY!), but I can't avoid and feel depressed as well because it's in the JP app, who know how long is going to take to come in the EN app. I am still pretty recent on the fandom, but I do know that the JP app have so many updates and stuff that in the EN app, it just makes me depressed for not know JP so I can play right when ot comes ;3;

heya! well, the routes have to start somewhere, right? haha. the release schedule for ikesen is the same for jp and en. only ikerev en is different from the jp version route order. this is the route release order for both versions (after the first 4 main routes):

ikerev jp: sirius→ loki→ edgar→ luka→ kyle→ zero→ oliver

ikerev en: edgar→ sirius→ loki

the only difference so far is edgar getting pushed first (˘∀˘)☆

Is there a character we should play first when Changeling comes out or a specific route order you recommend?

There’s not a specific route order I’d recommend. I usually recommend playing Corvin first but I think that’s just because his is the first route I wrote, so he’s just sort of first in my head. I’ve gotten really used to listing them alphabetically, so Corvin is always first.

It’s hard to recommend a first route because I don’t want anyone to play the route of a character they don’t like and think the game has nothing to offer them without trying any of the others. I definitely encourage people to play the route of the character they like the most first!The common route ends on a library scene where you will be with any one of the LI’s (depending on what you choose to study). You get a slightly longer interaction with them than you’ve really gotten in the game up until that point. If you’re unsure who to play first, definitely play through all the library scenes first because it might help you make up your mind more easily.
