Orvus let out a breathy chuckle before placing his back on the back of the futon, looking out the window at the star-studded universe. There was something he wanted to get off his mind. And who better to tell then himself? Even though...it wasn’t really himself. But close enough. He knew this Orvus well enough to tell him.
“Hm...yes, being tall is amusing and all, but...if I am going to be completely honest, this height and every other change made to me make me believe that I am barely even a Zoni anymore.” He lowered his hood and ran his hand over the ring marking on his head, allowing all of his markings to illuminate with a turquoise glow. “My natural markings, illumination, and antennae allow me to help keep a grasp on my original species and purpose.”
Orvus reached down and grabbed his metal staff, setting it in his lap, his gaze shifting between it and the Chronoscepter. “I attempted to at least recover my fighting skills from when I was a powered Zoni, thinking it would help me feel a bit more...whole in a way, but even that does not feel the same. My fighting formula is completely different. I have to account for footing, trajectory, new defensive positions, extra momentum, it is not what I am used to.”
Placing his staff back on the ground, the mortal Zoni picked up his cup of tea and took another sip, “I am aware that I am very flawed like this, but I can take pride knowing that I am attempting to restore a part of myself in some way. Have you ever experienced something like this in some way, shape, or form?”
