The #courtfan, also known as a #royalfan or #palacefan, is a traditional #Chinesehandicraft. One of the traditional weaving techniques used in the fan-making process is called #kesi , and it was added to #UNESCO 's list of #intangibleheritage Cultural in 2009. Li Jing entered the business in 2013 as an apprentice under some of the best craftsmen in #Suzhou , a city famous for its traditional #fanmaking industry. Now, he has a workshop of his own. Li's fans are popular, not only for their details, but also because they are made using one of the world's oldest spinning methods – kesi. Li brings this ancient weaving tradition to a new life in Suzhou. Check out the video and subscribe to the channel for more China’s stories!
