Time Travel RoyEd Prompt

I wrote this prompt before the 5/20 prompt reveals. Please god, someone write it. I want it so much and can't seem to write it myself:

"Time travel fic where post-promised day Ed meets a Roy directly out of Ishval.

"Ed doesn’t recognize Roy at first. He either defends him from something physical or insults him… maybe both. A freshly traumatized Roy is fucking confused."

“Who—” Roy cuts off as the man turns to him.

He’s the spitting image of Ed, if Ed was about a decade older. But Ed and Al are the only ones of them left, the only ones with the dark skin and distinctly golden hair and eyes marking their Xerxesian descent.

The stranger stares at him, crumbs falling from his mouth to the table. “Oh. Hey.”

“I—”

“Don’t freak out,” he says, “but I’m Edward Elric.”
