when i send memes, i usually send a handful to give you a variety of options to choose from. you don't have to answer every single meme i send — i just want to give you plenty of lines to pick from so you can decide which works best for you. you can also hold onto the extras and come back to them later when the muse strikes... or, if they're taking up space in your inbox, go ahead and delete them. that's okay too! i'll send you more another day! whatever the case may be, don't feel pressured to answer every single one!

daily mantra for overwhelmed role players:

i am allowed to take breaks.

i am allowed to say no.

i am allowed to delete asks and threads.

i am allowed to retire characters.

i am allowed to breathe.

repeat those words. taste those words. remind yourself of your position and right. role play is not your job. role play is supposed to be your hobby. don’t let your hobby become a toxic obligation. it will burn you out. you are allowed to be a person.

you don't have to be here. you don't have to stay logged in if this place is making you uncomfortable or causing you stress. you don't have to write every day. you don't have to follow blogs that you don't like. this is your space, your blog, your choices. at the end of the day, this is a hobby you do for fun, not for popularity or for any awards; you choose to be here because you love to write and create characters, and you love making new friends and plotting with people. when it starts hurting you, or when you start feeling discomfort at the sight of your dashboard, you can leave. you can log off. you can softblock or hardblock blogs. you can make a brand new blog and start over. filter tags, blacklist words or urls. take care of your space. take care of yourself ♡
