In carrying out its Mission, RPCP is guided by the life, inspiration and activism of River Phoenix. 

The Center honors his dedication and courageous contribution in the field of entertainment as well as to the well-being of the planet and all life that lives thereon. From an early age, he had the foresight to see and feel the connectedness of all life which led him to become a social justice, animal rights, environmental and peace activist. His approach was “solution-based” and RPCP is dedicated to following this path.

 "If I have some celebrity, I hope I can use it to make a difference. The true social reward is that I can speak my mind and share my thoughts about the environment and civilization itself.“

To see things crystal clear is to see everything for what it is.  Sometimes these things don’t want to be seen, But you can see them anyway. 

Some realize this and attack.  Others realize and shy away.  Few touchback, smile and engage.  Too few, I’d say. 

I had an ex who made me promise to only cheat on her with someone prettier.  She changed my entire world with that one request. 

I didn’t see her coming.  And I don’t see lots of things coming, But I can feel them when they crash....

I realized today that love is a subjective thing.  Well, the actual word: love is a subjective thing.  I believe we all have measuring devices that are not universal, but are exclusive to our own levels of love. 

In many ways, love feels like a myth; exactly like heaven or hell.

CAMP: THE DOCUMENTARY

CAMP follows a diverse group of 20 teenagers from across the US in the mountains of Big Bear, CA throughout a transformative seven-day art and leadership camp.

Donations to River related organizations

A person asked us to promote donations for RPCP. If you want, you can donate them, they have a donations page available in their web. Also you can donate to organizations he was involved, although some of them (like Peta) are not exactly nowadays what they used to be, and there is a debate about if people who supported them those days would do today. I'll search for a link I had with different organizations he was involved (not sure if that web is still online).

We prefer helping local nonprofit organizations we know, sure you all have a few of them near (animal or human rights ones), because they are less known and receive less donations & help, and because we know them better, but this thing is on you... some people can't donate money but direct personal help in animal shelters or helping kids/people :-)
