honestly with all of the qupping on jcinkanon about reading comprehension, someone should make an account to supplement the intense discourse topics with discussion questions bc whew the way people cling to emotions instead of letting the words sink in...
on the queer rep discourse for jcinkanon, a good tweet by the talented gretchen felker-martin:
Hi guys! I just wanted to pop in here. I'm the blog runner of the now defunct rpctea. I know there is a lot of speculation about why I deleted the blog (the url has been snatched by someone else, so that explains why it looks that way). Long story short, I no longer wanted to contribute to how the rpc is devolving. I am still a member of the community but it was hard while I had a front row seat and was enabling the behavior. Thanks for the good times and stay positive!
enjoy your retirement, friend <3
Honestly the reason these "tea" blogs don't work is because nobody in the rpc knows or cares enough about anything that's actual tea.
An actual tea blog wouldn't be "Johnny is racist and everyone should hate him". It would be "Sarah promised to be finals with Jenny but then she just used her in a love triangle with Polly's character, so Jenny and Polly decided to be finals to get back at her!"
Which, frankly, would make a great RP plot but isn't particularly interesting to read about.
