Lucina had just finished helping Ricken sort out the new purchased tomes so she went on to find something else to do when she heard someone call for her name. The Princess turned around, eyebrow raised to the unfamiliar face. She has not seen this girl before yet she knows her name? Better check what does she want.
“Yes, that would be. How can I help, miss?” Was she from the nearby village? But why approach her when she is not the commander of this camp? If she wanted something, she should have asked audience with either her father or the tactician...hmm.
“Pardon?” confusion colored the princess’ face. “Our fathers...?” Hope...Bryant...Estheim...Braynt...”A-Are you Sir Isaac’s daughter?” but how?! The man looks like he is in his twenties just like her father! W-well, in her case she is..not from this time, but her younger self is indeed at the castle.
“--Apologies, it was rude of me to gawk like that.” didn’t Isaac say he travels through time as well? Perhaps... his daughter came too? But wait, it seems too convenient to be true. “Forgive me but I would require some proof for your word. You don’t mind if we talked to Isaac about this, yes?” she cannot let her out of her sight. What if it was a rouse to get into the camp?
Ah, maybe her father hadn’t mentioned he was a time traveler? Wait, no--Hope was certain her father had made it known to Chrom and his daughter. Oh, but at this point in time her parents hadn’t even married yet. Of course Isaac wouldn’t have mentioned a daughter to them. Ah, her father made time travelling seem easy!
“No, no,” Hope shook her head, “It must be strange for me to show up out of nowhere. Of course you’d be suspicious. Yes, let’s go find my father.” Though he hadn’t met her as an adult yet, but her uncle did say he’d taken her as a baby to her father at this age to see what his future may hold. Yes, it was very confusing but that’s how it was with time travel.
Isaac was off helping to clean up after lunch. He wasn’t much of a cook outside of making desserts, so he did his best to help with lunch and dinner dishes as he rarely did meal prep. He poked his head up when he heard Lucina call for him. “What is i--” He couldn’t believe his eyes. A girl was next to Lucina who looked so much like his beloved Page. “You’re...”
“Hello.” Hope greeted sheepishly. “My name is Hope.”
Isaac covered his mouth with a hand as his eyes got watery. “Dimah let me see you as a baby,” a small, choked gasp came from him, “...but this is what you look like grown up.” That baby Dimah had plopped on him and Page for an afternoon looked so much like Page, especially with her hair. This girl’s appearance matched baby Hope’s so... “Is everything alright? Did something happen in the future you needed me for?” Isaac asked, now worried.
“Actually,” Hope fliddled with the fold of her skirt, “I came here because I wanted to meet Lucina, but she’s all grown up by the time I learn to speak.”
