Part 1. Basic body care and sexual hygiene !

Sexual hygiene is quite a broad topic but today I'll be covering the basics on cleanliness and what is too much when cleaning yourself up!

This is mostly intended for individuals with vaginas since thats what I bodily have experience with!

When washing your private area theres a lot to think about

If you have pubic hair I'd recommend rinsing it with water, if you have a sensitivity to yeast infections or utis you should avoid using scented products even on the outside of the labia.

Sometimes if I just got off my period I'll use a lightly scented or unscented soap to clean my pubes but I'm very careful to not get any product on the labia minora or the inner labia at all..

On the topic of people who are sensitive to infections I'd recommend being very gentle even with water on the inner labia, it can deplete for natural moisture down there and make you feel dry and uncomfortable or even cause infection if you're too rough with the water.

Also, if you have ingrown hairs on your pubic area I recommend taking a warm bath that is called a sitz bath, its a shallow warm bath with Epsom salts or baking soda in the water, its meant to help relieve pain and help soften the skin around the hair, you sit in the bath for around 30 minutes and you can repeat a couple times a day or through the week to help with the hair. And DONT PICK OUT YOUR INGROWN PUBIC HAIR YOURSELF... you're likely to cause an infection or damage to the sensitive skin

Other hygiene tips that she directly sex related:

If you have sex, petetrative or not, you should urinate afterwards if you can, it can help clear out any bacteria or gunk built up in the urinary tract after sexual activity.

If you can, I also might recommend showering afterwards to be safe but it isnt mandatory.

Nipple care is also something I'll touch on more in other posts but if you engage in nipple play I recommend moisturizing your chest and nipples to relieve possible dryness or irritation.
