RAPH AS AN OIRAON!!!! Finally got all of their refs done <3 and FINALLY finally fiiiiiiinally after months of scrapping ideas and editing and sketching, he is complete.

Their oiraon name is Ruaidhri, its an Irish name that means "red king" and i feel like that fits perfectly (and it also begins with an R, bonus points to me for finding it heheh)

Colors and markings based on a strawberry finch, how could i not? Finally conquered a demon and used red as a main color in a design! And most importantly~ it isnt a cliche red/black or red/white design >:)

Unsure if it gives the vibes of "this is rottmnt raph"... theyre hard for me to figure out. Took inspo with the spikes here tho, had lots of fun mimicking the turtle counterpart here with the shoulder spikes and the back spikes (i loved drawing the spikes).

Mmmmhuh dont have much to say compared to my info dumps with the others... This guys just a giant buff red bird- OH THE WINGS!! Based on a bateleur eagles, those things r so FUNKY mannnn. These wings r more suited to low to the ground soaring/gliding, but with ample room for power, speed and really impressive maneuverability for a bird so big 👀 i saw these as a great look for Arctic raons because of their biomes. They live mostly in Taiga's and snowy areas, ofc, and being able to soar/travel long distances and save stamina is important, BUT! For an Oiraon so large being an ambush predator is really important, and these wings allow that needed short burst of speed aswell >:) theyre surprisingly versatile.

I feel like ive gotten pretty good at drawing wings with all of this content.

I plan on giving him the "Beast Master" profession, working with animals n all that jazz!! Its perfect for him <3 apart from that he doesnt have much of a backstory to him yet, i dont imagine him meeting the others until later in life... probably while being hired for something or other that leads him to travel far and meet someone new? (arctic raons r popular to be hired as mercenaries, for labor, hard work/lifting stuff, bc theyre really strong and the largest type)

Ruaidhrí’s beginnings was full of questions that only lore could suffice as answers. Some say he was the first ever recorded Vampire while many believe that he was one of the originals that have walked the Earth. But one thing was for certain, the creature skulked in the shadows of the dark nights, his crimson eyes eliciting fear to anyone who came across them as it was a known evil omen across the land. “When eyes the color of the devil deem you his prey, the creature of the night would reveal it’s tempting form only to present you with a bloody death.” Being feared was all Ruaidhri knew his entire life. However, through time, that fear became twisted and turned into some sort of respect forced out of people. He became untouchable. He was the epitome of power. And things may have appeared to turn for the better in his life. The master thought he was able to feel genuine happiness as he made the discovery of a long lost son, and might have deluded himself that he found himself a family. Which became his weakness. Soon the powerful Vampire Lord got captured by the opposing side. Kept as a prisoner. Tortured. Used. Everything the vampires did to the slaves, things he has done to other people. However, he kept a strong will, keeping quiet about any personal affairs. Now, three years has passed, and he is still kept as a slave in the Queen’s Domain, unsure what’s happening around him. What’s real or fake. Or if there is a future for him.
