Friday’s Thoughts 💭.... - 💎 Proteins are important for metabolic health. Some more than others such as shellfish, whitefish, dairy, eggs, brith and liver. The Amino acids in protein signal the pancreas to produce the hormones glucagon and insulin. Insulin stimulates your muscle cells to take up amino acids, and glucagon causes your liver to release stored sugar. Sunday reflections..... Your reality is either something you love, your neutral too or something your not happy with. Can we change our reality? Is it something that we are stuck with? I am a firm believer that we can change anything we want. It’s confusing, hard and can create conflict, but it can be done. But when we are stuck how do we create change? Instead of focusing on what to do, how to do it or how long it’s gonna take - set an intention. The intention sets the way and the way is the journey. Your know longer living in the past, stuck, and now creating your future. Sunday reflections.... We all experience trauma in some way shape of form. It’s not so much the event that shapes us, it is what it does to our nervous system that prevents us from healing and moving on. There is a separation from self that makes us feel not only detached from self but our reality. It makes us feel so foreign, it makes us feel that healing will be ever so foreign. Overtime most forget, most forgive, find compassion or understanding...and some don’t. But what if we let the event of what happen be for a bit. What if we focus on regulating our nervous system from the FREEZE state that it’s in, that we live in, so we can start moving through our own reality. What if we begin doing things that allow us to create balance in and auto-regulate our nervous system? That would allow us to move from a FREEZE state toward a balanced state which would move us closer to self and maybe allow us to understand the event of what happened a bit more. There are many ways to achieve this and it looks different for everyone. But today realize you are not alone. Sunday reflection..... Back in the day when I was addicted to treading and thought the more I read the more spiritual I was, I was a huge fan of OSHO’s work. I remember a lot of what he used to teach, or preach. But one thing stood out, he said - “the journey IS the way.” This is so powerful and empowering if we begin to move away from DOing and towards BEing. If we move away from reacting towards responding...and if we move away from holding on towards letting go. You see, there is a ton of useless crap within the health industry. I see it as most of these things move us way from the journey - the way. I see it as the more we focus on what I need for myself vs what others think I need to do, apply, buy, etc, the way appears. To find oneself, you must be yourself. That can be tough for sure. But if we begin to see what is not serving us anymore, begin to let go off all the excess noise (health crap), the way appears. The way is healing. One question to ask yourself, is what you are doing working for you?
