Another self build home design from PD Architecture on the drawing board and getting ready for a start on site. Set in the greenbelt, this self build in Ruddington, Nottingham was designed for multi-generational living, and is part subterranean to limit its impact on the open countryside.

A visit to the Framework Knitting museum of Ruddington with Joe’s parents opened our eyes to what the reality of a machine knitter would have been like in the early 1800. Whole families use to work here to produce everything from ties and socks to stockings and caps right into the 1920s before knitting moved to larger factories. What a beautiful afternoon it turned out to be celebrating the wedding of Rachael & James in Ruddington on Saturday.
Rachael and James actually tied the knot at St Mary's Church in Clifton Village and then went on to Ruddington Country Cottage for their beautiful reception. It was an emotional day and both the bride and groom held it together fantastically well.
I actually went to school with Rachael so it was a real privilege to photograph their special day.
