Fat toadlet went out with me yesterday. Went home early cause somebody tried to yoink my mask.
The only things I remember from visiting the usa are the heat, the large roads and the rude lady in Utah who told me that "if you're in America you should speak American"
I'll remember you till the end of my days fucker.
Wrong number
I had some lady call me this morning at an ungodly hour.
Lady: Hey I need you to get up and brush your teeth
I didn't recognize the voice but it sounded like one of my friends. I didn't think I had any plans or anything.
Me: Okay...?
She said something else.
Me: Who is this?
Lady: *not impressed* Who do you think it is?
I was so confused because I honestly didn't know and I was tired and disoriented.
Me: Well I know you're not my mom... Or my grandma...
Lady: Okay. You know what? I don't have time for this. Get up and brush your teeth so we can get going when I get there
Me: I'm sorry, but I really don't know who you are. I think you have the wrong number
Lady: *sarcastically* Alright, let me just hang up and call my daughter and tell her to get out of bed.
And she didn't call again.
Rant
So we had a costumer come in today, asking us to slice RAW BEEF on our Deli Slicers (our deli slicers can only cut ready to eat meat) and when I told her that we DO NOT cut raw meat on our Deli Slicers because of cross contamination, she's like "Well I understand that." In a super rude tone... Even though she was angry at my coworker for NOT slicing it on said deli slicer.. Then I told her that we do not cut meat here anymore (which is true), she told me, "Well I've been doing it for 3 months now!" She repeated that about 7 or 8 times. I told her that the people who have been doing it, have been breaking the rules and that I was sorry. She was just treating me and my coworker like we were scum. She REFUSED to take no as an answer so our meat room guy had to take the slicer they have, and has never been used, to cut this lady's meat. It wouldn't have been so bad if she wasn't being rude. I get its an inconvenience but we are human too. I'm sorry.
No, I'm not confused. I'm just not interested.....
Frustrating phone call
I have been receiving phone calls for over a year about something concerning my father, who passed away just over a year ago. I ignored them for the longest time, but today I finally answered got the number from the "automated" message and called back to tell them to stop calling me. It's disturbing and saddening to receive phone messages about my deceased father. On the other end of the line I was greeted by a very rude lady who wouldn't help me at all and in the end refused to stop the calls. I don't often (I can't even remember the last time) hang up on people. But I did. I guess I'm just venting. I guess my point is, even if you have a hard job, have a heart.
Wow...
I live in a town that depends a lot on the tourist trade, so out of town visitors or people passing through on their way to somewhere better. These people are general nice, happy and polite because they are here to have a good time or just need something and I like to help them out when I can, but you have to understand that where I live has an in-town population of about 100 people. 100 is not a large number, we try to provide as much as we can but we can't do everything. No, the hotel rooms at the only hotel in town don't have their own washrooms or mini-fridges, but you know what? It's $30 a night and rents mostly to truckers who don't want to sleep in the cabs of their trucks when they don't have to. No, our grocery store doesn't sell household items, because it's a grocery store. We sell food, and alcohol, and things like garbage bags but don't come in here expecting Wal Mart because it isn't. Why are you mad at me because you can't anticipate what to pack on your own family trip? No, I can't control the shitty weather any more than you can, so simmer the hell down. There's some ice on the sidewalk? Here, throw some salt on it and it should be gone in about 2 more months... Yes, there are only two places to eat at in town and one is only open a few hours a day in the winter. We keep meaning to put in a McDonalds but you know, have to cut corners somewhere. So remember when you are visiting somewhere else, especially somewhere that doesn't have as many luxuries as where you come from, the locals have heard it all and all you're really doing by pointing out things you don't like that we can't change is making us wish you would leave as soon as possible.
