A/N: Yesterday I got a really bad headache that was a little closer to migraine territory and it inspired this story.
Well, this was not how you wanted to spend Jin’s first day off in weeks. You both had been looking forward to today ever since finding out BigHit would give them the day off. You had made plans to visit the Seoul Botanical Gardens because you had always wanted to visit, then to have a nice dinner and just get to spend some time together.
But life had other plans.
As soon as you were even remotely awake, you wished you could go back to sleep for the rest of the day. Your head was throbbing and though you had only been consciously awake for a couple of minutes, you already felt the tears pricking at the corners of your eyes.
Sadly, this wasn’t uncommon with you. Migraines ran in your family and you hadn’t been able to outrun that gene.
The light was streaming in through the blinds on the window and your light sensitivity kicked in. Your head began to pound twice as hard and you quickly hid your face in the safety of Jin’s chest. However, you hadn’t meant to hit his chest so aggressively. The pain in your head just was too great and you couldn’t think properly.
When Jin woke up with a start, he glanced at where you were hidden and that’s when he heard the first sniffle leave you.
“Jagi?” He asked, his morning voice making you shiver, not only with pleasure but also at how loud it was (though it was barely above a whisper), “Are you alright?”
You slowly shook your head side to side and muttered, “Migraine,” keeping your answer straight to the point to avoid loud noises.
Immediately Jin pulled you closer with the arm you were using as a pillow as he brought his free one to massage at your temple. Though it didn’t completely solve the problem, it made you relax and cleared a fraction of the pain.
He placed soft kisses to the top of your head as he continued his ministrations on your head, waiting until you seemed to be feeling a little better and your tears slowed to a halt.
“Do you want me to go grab you some water and medicine, Jagi?” He whispered, aware of your sound sensitivity. You simply nodded slowly and he helped pull the comforter above your head to block out the light that would come pouring in as soon as he moved.
Moments later, Jin returned and before he helped you sit up, he closed the blinds completely, blocking out all of the light. Returning to your side, he kept a hand on your shoulder to help you against the dizziness. Once you took the medicine and drowned about half of the water from the plastic water bottle, he laid back down and pulled you back against his chest.
Being the loving and caring boyfriend he is, he began massaging your temples again, and soon enough you found yourself drifting back to sleep for a few more hours.

When you awoke for the second time that day, you felt ten times better. The migraine had all but ceased, the faintest of pain still remains. You also noticed how Jin’s fingers were still working at your temples as if he had stayed awake the whole time just to help you find comfort. All of these realizations hit you before even opening your eyes, bringing a sweet smile to your sleepy face.
You couldn’t have been happier with the sight you opened your eyes to. Your boyfriend’s beautiful brown eyes searched your face, looking for any sign of pain or discomfort, though once it registered that you were awake, the corners of his mouth turned up in a smile. Your favorite smile to see grace his face, to be exact.
Once you were awake enough, you leaned in to close the distance between you and Jin and placed a sweet and grateful kiss to his lips, muttering out a small, “Thank you.”
“Always, jagi.”
“You know, maybe it’s the remnants of my migraine talking, but you look very cute first thing in the morning.” You explained slowly, still in the process of waking up and feeling better.
“I am Worldwide Cutie Guy after all,” you lightly giggled at Jin’s antics, “and need I remind you it is no longer ‘first thing in the morning’ anymore. It is in fact 12:00, almost 12:30.”
A small pout found its way to your face, “Were our plans for the day ruined because of my migraine? I was really looking forward to the botanical garden.” Your pout deepened as if it could get any more prominent.
When Jin saw the guilt and sadness in your eyes, he knew he had to help ease your mind. It had already been through enough throughout the morning.
“Not at all. The garden is open until 6:00 pm. If you’re feeling better around 3 or 4, we can head over until closing time and then keep our dinner plans. Nothing has to change. If anything, today was made better because I got to take care of you and spend more time with you this morning.” Jin placed a gentle kiss on your forehead and brushed a strand of rogue hair behind your ear.
You leaned towards him to place a kiss to his pillow-like lips before resting your forehead against his own.
“That sounds amazing, Jinnie. Thank you again. I love you so much.”
“I love you too, Y/N.”
