Sorey hummed as his friend spoke, tilting his head curiously. "Sounds interesting." He looked at the book before giving a grin at the other's complaint, wrapping his arms around his waist and pulling him close. "Nope." He chirped happily, obviously more than pleased to be holding his friend.

「mikleo gave an indignant noise, absolutely disgruntled with sorey disturbing his reading. at least that’s how he reacted, because on the inside, he was rather flustered from the attention.」

   “ urgh, sorey--! do i ever disturb you when you’re reading? ”

「eyes blink up at the mug held out to him, hands reaching to take it and peer at its content. he’d already smelled the hot chocolate from farther away but now he was sure that it hadn’t just been a trick of his mind. how amazing would it be if he shared his common sweet tooth with his twin too?!」

   “  i love hot chocolate! is it your favourite too?  ”

「he’d been minding his own business this whole time, fingers brushing over that one drawing mikleo and he did when they’d been small and oblivious to the world. it was safely tugged away in his celestial record this whole time.

sorey had been so deep in thought– reliving those precious memories– that he hadn’t noticed his twin sitting beside him. only the touch to his arm grounded him back to reality and he twitched, ready to pull away out of surprise yet not having the chance to since he already got pulled close to the other’s side. his brows furrowed slightly in annoyance.」

   “  I don’t need to be cradled like a baby, mind you.  ”

Drapes himself casually over Mikleo's back as his friend reads, a lazy smile on his face. "What'cha reading, Mikleo?"

   “ it’s a flower glossary. ” ↬he mumbled absentmindedly in response, flipping to the next page. honestly, just from looking at the illustrations, sorey should’ve been able to guess. though the other probably just wanted to start a conversation, so he didn’t mind saying the obvious.

well, he didn’t mind the conersation, but did sorey really had to lay on him?」

   “ –sorey, you’re heavy. ”

「forever, huh… that surely was something only sorey would say. only he was that sappy and such a hopeless romantic, even before he went to sleep. maybe back then, he would’ve indulged him but he was too grown, has seen too many things. it wasn’t that easy anymore. he could barely remember how it had felt to be so easygoing with sorey.

they’d laid there, mikleo unused to a body beside him but he’d allowed sorey to be there with him anyway. it had been okay; he was anxious and uncomfortable, but could hide it thanks to having his back turned to sorey. he’d stiffened as he’d felt the other press close, but still didn’t moved and after a few minutes mikleo had even managed to relax.

but now that sorey was wrapping his arm around him, it felt suffocating yet warm and safe. not knowing what to feel, he shifted, tried to move away without sorey realizing. after all, sorey still meant a lot to him. the last thing he wanted to do was to make him sad.」

   “ that won’t be possible. nothing is forever. ”

   “ huh? did you found something? ”

「he padded over to his twin to check out the wall he stood in front. this whole ruin was pretty amazing already but this wall was beyond that. sorey was glad the other had beckoned him over; not that he would’ve missed it with how detailed the mural was, but it was still a nice gesture.」
