"one of the centaurs told me to be careful with you.” although, genaro didn’t really listen to warnings. even back home he was attracted to things that he shouldn’t have been. risky people and business. 

that was just another side of him. as long as the tabloids never found out then his mother’s campaign was still safe. which meant that he just had to get good at hiding things. which made it even more fun.

while checking to make sure that all of his rings were still on his fingers, he extended out a long arm over to the other man. “i’m genaro oberon wardwell, the new son of hecate.” for a brief second he wondered if he had encountered other hecate heir, some people were quite vocal about that. “i’m excited to be here.”

even though maslovski was his official date to the event, people had seemed to be going off in many different pairs. this time it was niko that he found himself in the presence of and he was grateful for that. “feels like a whole decade has gone by since we were talking in the underworld, doesn’t it?” thankfully, this conversation didn’t have to be so life and death. once the half god was secured on the boat, loreto pushed it off slowly before climbing into it himself. “if there’s anything exciting that’s happened, you gotta let me know.” he carefully sat down on the boat, hoping to get comfortable fast.

how so many gardens sprung up out of seemingly nowhere, ivan didn’t know. his curiosity (see: need for control) led him to some perimeter-walking, which led him to a grove of trees with long, wispy limbs, reaching up and then down again like an elderly woman’s hair. when he turned, he realized he wasn’t alone. the face was new. the name-god-house method of introduction was old.

“odd enough, meeting someone out here,” he called over, approaching the demigod without any visible caution. “if I remember right, for two to be in here alone, there’s something we need to share.” ivan gestured into the grove proper, with a sweep of his shawl-bearing arm. “I’m game if you are...if you go first.”

"Oh, hey!” The look of surprise on Hudson’s face is overshadowed by the thin web of scars splayed across it. “Long time no see.” He says, trying to play it cool, as if he hadn’t been avoiding everyone since he’d gotten back from sneaking off to Japan. “You enjoying the big party? Celebrating...” Hudson frowns, trying to find a nice way to phrase the festivities. “the crowning of another monarchist?”

another night where sleep is difficult. another midnight stroll. another night where the darkness is a comforting blanket he can wrap himself in, the stars a companion for his thoughts. nova, his lynx familiar, pads along side him, ears and eyes alert just like his own. the forest, for now, is quiet. it’s pleasant, peaceful. before long, he finds himself standing at the foot of the temple of the gods and he sees a body standing there, too. if his vision wasn’t what it was, he’d only see shadow. 

“debating on going in?” he questions, moving up alongside the son of hermes. he hasn’t said much to him since their arrival, but they’re both some of the newer additions to the roster. “have you gone in before?”

suit up and defend the camp from monsters that wander too close

even with their defenses and magical capabilities, it seemed the camp was a gleaming beacon for the monsters that lurked outside of their borders. as a dire bear lumbered into the courtyard and spooked the denizens, the son of poseidon had to spring into action, fully suited and a bottle of ambrosia gripped in one hand. he could probably take it on alone, but when viktor saw that niko, another demigod, was nearby, he took the opportunity to find a weapon. “you! keep it busy!” he yelled at the son of hermes, as he flung off his blazer and ransacked some carts for a weapon.

when they entered the garden, thankfully more with niko leading than loreto, he didn’t expect to be welcomed by such a beautiful voice. the priest smiled softly as he looked around to look for the source, seeing the flowers bloom around the beautiful woman. “i have no idea what she’s saying, but this tune is quite lovely.” hopefully he wasn’t walking into a trap like some of the other rooms felt like. “come on, let’s go!” he pulled the speedster along with him to try and get closer, wanting to hear the song more clearly.
