Rune combination to find refuge and belonging

You may make use of these runes by meditating on them, incorporating them in your workings, or wearing them on your person during the day. I also love to write such rune combinations on a piece of paper to place near my head during sleep, for example, above the bed or under my pillow. I'm currently looking at an extra means of magical protection aside from Wicca-influenced circle-casting. One that's probably closer to old Nordic practice, is painting a rune on the forehead, so I'm writing and drawing a grimoire page about that. I just decided that I'd ask around a bit before committing it to the page. Do you have tips? For instance, how might I activate such a rune aside from chanting its name if breathing on my own forehead isn't possible?

So I have two ideas that immediately came to mind. 

1) activate it using a crystal. After painting the rune on your forehead, place a crystal that corresponds with either protection or the rune itself (i.e. has similar associations) on your forehead, using the energy from the crystal to activate the rune. You could also use clear quartz for this since clear quartz is good for amplifying power. 

2) do some fancy meditation/ visualization here. Picture the rune on your forehead and visualize it glowing (or whatever visual representation works for you that lets you know its activated)

"Finding a new home" spell

I am looking for a nice flat to move in because mine is a rotting shithole.

As I don't have huge incomes it could be tricky. So I created a spell inspired by different advices I got and my own Intuition.

It ended up being a nice mix of things!

Here how it looks like!

First, I draw a house, in which I inscribed symbols.

In the heart of the house, I wrote the symbols for me and my partner as we will be the ones living in the flat.

In the roof, because the triangle shape is one of manifesting, I put my sigil to find out ideal home.

In front of that, I put my partner's passport (as they are the one looking for a flat right now while I work) with a leaf containing a small lucky spell with a penny charm and cinnamon, candied orange and acorns to boost luck and success.

I burnt sandalwood incense over it and light a candle to charge the spell.

In front of it all, I put 3 of my homemade runes, to promote happy change, success of one's project and luck.

I then charged everything with my own energy and intent.

This is my first attempt at making a kinda "complex" spell. I have only dkne really simple things before.

Been doing research on runes and came across an article on amino (I've literally never been on there before) that was super hardcore. Like, using runes isn't the same as using tarot, the only runes to use should be ones you make yourself, have shed blood for, should be dedicated to the god who created them, etc. And like, I understand the intensity.

So now I'm questioning my draw to them. 🤔

So I ask, Rune users, what drew you to them?
