A “behind the scenes” shot as I work on yet another rune pendant.  A very popular item in my Catalog of Iron Goodness, each pendant starts with drawing the rune on the steel.  This allows me to change the design in tiny little ways, fitting it to the steel.  Each piece is different, so I can’t simply stamp a design into the metal and have it coming out looking good.  That would certainly be easier, but I prefer to carve each rune individually so they fit right and look right.  That way the customer knows they’re getting something that’s perfectly unique in the world.
