He hadn’t slept in at least a week, he’d been using more magic than he should have, and damn it if there were going to be nephilim in his apartment constantly, they were at least going to be useful. Or, at least, this was what Magnus had decided as he shuffled over to the couch and flung himself onto it, head resting on Jace’s leg. “Today sucks. The world sucks. And I have no idea where my coffee went. Or my vodka, for that matter.”

            The frown was very EVIDENT on the High Warlock’s features as he was pulled away from a very interesting conversation he had been having with a vampire. The corner of the bar where he was being dragged to was quiet, and far away from the fun of the actual bar. “Jace...what is going on with you?” The man asked, arms folding over his chest as he looked at the Shadowhunter’s face and examined him. “Oh don’t tell me...were you actually jealous?” His face lit up with a teasing smirk, chuckling to himself as he shook his head side to side. “Really? The great and cocky Jace, jealous?”

He should have known better than to push this much this hard, should have known to stop the moment he started to feel like he was pulling from the magic that literally kept him alive. But Magnus Bane was nothing if not stubborn and determined, he’d been sure he could handle it, even if he had been working more than usual lately with very little rest in between large bursts of magic.

All that mattered, though, was that the demons were gone. To hell with the fact that there were actual black spots in Magnus’ vision, or that the world seemed to be spinning too fast around him and every muscle in his body seemed to be screaming.

“You good?” He asked, looking over at Jace --- clearly intent on ignoring his own well being.
