Favorite Protagonist
Happy 25th JCA! I love all the protagonists in this show, they all have their own chams, but -looks at my own blog- it's pretty obvious who my favorite is
I see people everywhere say "Jade's the real hero" or "Jade was Shendu's actual biggest problem" and to that, I say give my man some fucking respect! They would not have lasted a single episode without Uncle.
I'll elaborate more on the favorite antagonist day, but this is also one of the reasons I like Daolon Wong so much, he's the only villain who legitimately prioritized Uncle as a threat.
In my opinion, he's the funniest member of Clan Chan, he's so cranky but he's got a really big heart, too and he definitely shows it in his own way. In my fanfiction, he really is the heart of the group and I am totally willing to admit that my favoritism may have something to do with that.

It took more prompting, more arguing and even a threat to call the police before Ru managed to get Lanying out. Before he shut the door he changed the time of his return from lunch to give himself an extra half hour before he was ready to open up shop again. Hopefully Lanying would not return to try again. In the meantime, Ru had no appetite to actually have lunch and simply used his break to sweep and dust.
With Jackie going on another mission, they had talked about sending Jade to Uncle's until he got back, so Ru tried to brainstorm ideas of things the two of them could do together, but his mind kept wandering to the impending task of what would happen if Section 13 failed to stop Shendu.
A sudden loud crack nearly caused Ru to jump out of his skin, and he whirled around, brandishing the broom like a weapon expecting an attacker to be lurking around. He saw nothing, but his still racing heart compelled him to continue to look around the shop. None of the vases or terracotta figures had broken, he found no pottery on the floor and almost dismissed the occurrence as a figment of his imagination when he turned to the wall and noticed the mirror.
