I treated myself to the runescape boardgame because the guys looked fun to paint.

This guy was fun to paint, nice and simple on the details. Which made for a great color matching exercise.

I think he turned out great

RuneScape Kingdoms

Time Needed: 60+ minutes

Number of Players: 2-5

Replayability: 7/10

Complexity: 7/10

Click-clacks: 5/10, there are a lot and the minis are neat

Explore the world of Geilinor and go on four epic quests to save the realm from certain destruction. The base game comes with the Vampyre Slayer, Demon Slayer, Flame Slayer, and Dragon Slayer quests in the box. Create your adventurer and level up your skills as you complete the main quest along with side quests and prep for the final battle.

This game is played campaign style, where you move through all four main Slayer quests to reach the final battle with Elvarg the Dragon. At the time of writing this review, we've played through the first three main quests and have thoroughly enjoyed the game and the mechanics. Each kingdom of Misthlain has its own encounter deck, so as you move through the regions you experience random events.

The quests stay rather faithful to those of RuneScape, so veterans of the game will be delighted. My husband has not played RuneScape at all and has been extremely immersed in the board game and enjoyed how silly it can be sometimes (I kissed a frog... it was just a frog).

Momrad is busy today

I'm hosting my yearly RPG game (Its a mean inside joke between my husband and 2 of our close mutual friends... because it took me 3 years to finish a one shot)

This year we're doing the RuneScape RPG

Its really weird as it doesn't use a d100 system but like a multiple d6 system (3d6 for most skill rolls)

HOWEVER all 3 of these men I will be DMing for are all DMs... so I give them this opportunity to actually interact as players.

The game is gonna be a kinda meta game... they are all NPCS who are autists in the sense that I let them do the point buy method and they each shoved all their points into 1 attribute and 1 skill... yeah its gonna be fun
