okay so i did a test run on a couple designs for the zipper bags and they're... not happening. the designs anyway, not the bags. i have one design that might need to be modified to work at this scale, but as long as the majority translates, i'll be happy
hoping i can finish a few things soon so i can show more previews this week!!

I’ve set up a Ko-fi account, should anyone be so inclined!
Right now I’ve set up a goal simply titled “Monthly Bills”, with an estimated amount. I’m currently unemployed via day job, and my fiancee’s car just required $1k in repairs (necessary transport to and from her job among regular errands) yesterday after we found out it had been slowly poisoning her from Carbon Monoxide. I’d like to continue to pay my own bills, in addition to helping out with payments on car repairs until I land another sustainable job.
I will be opening a commission queue shortly, in addition to my Ko-fi, so keep an eye out for that, too!
Reblogs are always appreciated, as well! Thank you so much! ♥
TTRPG sideblog | @pastelrunes Art Blog | Rune [She/Her]
I finally got around to making a D&D sideblog to track my adventures! Posts will be listed by games and characters for those of you trying to keep track!
Art will still be posted here, and reblogged to that account for easy tracking!
Have to kick it into gear this weekend to finish up some fun stuff!
Commissions are, of course, still open, as I have yet to make anywhere near enough to cover rent for next month. Still trying to job hunt in the interim.
I’d like to start streaming again, but the stuff I need to finish this weekend is a secret until I can post it. I’ll try to get back to it soon.
I also have the newest batch of ask prompts sitting open for free time. They’re all going to be v cute when I can work on them!
Hello to my newest followers, as well! I’m hoping to be more active soon, but you’re welcome to say hello if you’d like! I have a tag list located via my sidebar, unless you’re on mobile. :’D Let me know if you need anything tagged!
Heads up that this is a side blog, if I follow it will be from another blog. Thanks for being here, and I can’t wait to show more work!
Scylla is, without a doubt, unabashedly a Gryffindor. Not because she’s brave or anything, but because she’s the type to literally jump off a cliff before thinking, or offer a potion to a creature that could kill her.
11. tea or coffee?
I think… Scylla is the coffee type. The fuller body of coffee would appeal to her, though she’d probably be the type to load it with cream.
35. what is their “morning ritual”?
Un-cocoon herself from whatever blanket monstrosity she had concocted, stare blearily at whoever woke her up (because ideally it’s someone else waking her up), and lurch to her feet. After that, it usually involves packing up her supplies, rebraiding/putting her hair up, and food in short order.
44. what is their opinion of authority?
Not good. Scylla is most certainly of the “avoid all authority” variety, and barring that, she’s vocal in her distaste, or at least vocal in her sarcasm and snark. She’s pretty sure authority is out to get her at every chance.
Certain authority is under a temporary exception, such as the Bounty Hunter variety, because she more or less tries to remain out of the bounty-level of trouble, and considers herself more or less a mercenary that may or may not work alongside a hunter. Orin’s only recently gotten off the hook due to their less than auspicious meeting, however.
Oddly enough, she’s somehow managed to befriend- or at least friendly acquaintance- a Crownsguard of high authority. She doesn’t hold it against him, as long as he doesn’t try to assert that authority over her. It’s an odd… relationship.
43. Does your character have a switch that changes aspects of their personality whether they are around friends, family, etc. Is there someone who gets to see their true self?
[Scylla] Scylla is pretty authentic to herself around just about everyone. She gets squirrelly around new folk, and especially authority figures, but that isn’t really a separate personality, as much as a defense mechanism. She might be a bit more open with someone she trusts- but overall she’s pretty easy to read in a general sense.
50. If your character confessed love to their crush, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc, what would they say?
[Basira] OHHHH BOI. Well, if she were to confess to a lover, she’d either be really blunt, or completely sidestep the importance of a confession. It’s like a 50/50 thing. Either way she’d probably end up just blurting it in a jumble and refusing to clarify.
27. If your character was going to get arrested, what would be the most likely reason for it?
[Sabrin] Sabrin would get arrested for one of two things: being on the frontline of a protest movement, or aiding and abetting a criminal (second one courtesy of his sister whoops).
Scylla is quiet in the beginning; scared. She’s been alone for weeks, and Jevan is older than her. He’s also scruffy, dirty, and covered in scrapes. All in all, not a sight for anyone’s eyes. But to be fair, she’s dirty, malnourished, and cowering in a corner- not exactly the sight he was expecting.
Jevan had broken into the small dwelling, which had been assumed abandoned. No one had come in or out of it for some time, and had looked to be in fair shape. Either there would be something worth taking, or it could be used to sleep in for a bit. He’d have taken either outcome. But a tiefling child- well, that hadn’t been part of the plan.
It took a great deal of bargaining, and the offering of what little stale hardtack he’d saved, but Jevan had ultimately convinced the little one that he was tolerable, if not entirely trustworthy. It took even more bribing, and cajoling to learn her small story, and to convince her to leave the small dwelling. And eventually, Jevan realized, he’d gained a shadow- and a new friend.
Not what he’d been expecting, indeed.
--
Scylla always stayed smaller than Jevan, and was quieter on her feet. She was immediately better than him when it came to skulking around- which was fine, he was always better at being a face. Granted, a unkempt, scratched up face, but a face. He was too lanky, too much elbow and knee, to be a great thief; but he was a good brawler. He took the hits Scylla wouldn’t be able to handle, and kept the eyes off of her. Which suited them both fine.
The only problem was- while he was a smart mouth, she was a louder smart mouth. With Scylla growing, and growing comfortable, her temper also grew. And with her temper, came a brash, outspoken girl. Jevan would have complained about the headache, but he was probably the cause anyway. (Besides, he’d probably egged her on. A couple times.) So instead, he tried to always be the one sweet talking, and leave her cutting remarks and quick anger for the fights.
The other problem (okay, so there wasn’t just the one), was that while he was often the first one to suggest a theft, or a distraction, or any number of things really, Scylla was the first one to act on them. She’d rush in before the idea had fully formed, and more often than not, got herself roughed up in the process. The lesson never seemed to stick.
And when the day came (he’d seen it coming for years) that Scylla had the idea first- the idea that, with rumors of a huge gathering of soldiers, magic folk, and any number of people bracing themselves for something big, there would be work aplenty to earn a living- Jevan told her that she’d be the only one acting on it. He wasn’t leaving their home, and he wasn’t going to get in Scylla’s way of living for something more. She’d be better on her own, without dragging his deadweight along.
After all, he wasn’t good for anything but thieving, and scuffling. She didn’t need him mucking about in her life for that.
But she had better find him someday, when she was living well, and show him just how good she’d done without him.
