Only just realized I hadn't posted this yet!
Earlier this year, I got the honor of working with the Transmissions Quilt Project. My recipient had connections to the ocean, lots of beautiful colors, and a dragon in their childhood hills. I was given a beautiful painting and music mix to work from, in addition to a small interview with the recipient.
What came from it was a mixture of 60° diamonds, and some improv piecing in squares and rectangles. The final quilt measures about 63" x 64" or so, cotton quilting fabric, cotton batting, with some natural dyed silk and recycled cotton pieces given to me for the project.
Please give the project a look; round 2 will begin soon! If you would like to be a part of the project in any way, please reach out to the organizers! If you know a trans person who you think deserves a quilt, keep an eye out for the next round of nominations. 💕
