I bought this car during Memorial Day weekend in 2009 for $24K cash and I know the dealer swindled me when a friend told me he bought the same car in 2011 with enhancements for $17,999. I was so upset but what could I do! Well I have now reached the 131,000 mile mark in a little over 8 years but if I include times I was in hospital and the 3 months it was wrongfully impounded it actually come out to less than 8 years of active driving but for arguments sake I'll use 8 years for computational purposes. So on average I drove 16k miles a year and cost me $3K a year excluding gas, repairs, inspections, renewals, wear and tear, etc. I average driving 5.5 miles per dollar to drive based on purchase price and miles driven excluding repairs, gas, inspections renewals, etc. I plan to use my Nissan Sentra for the rest of my life. There is no new car in my future. This is it and I have to make the best of it. According to law of averages it will take another 4 years to hit the 200k mark and another 8 years to hit the 250k mark at which point I will be age 64 years old and would then call it quits with driving as I would think I would have run the car into the ground and I won't be able to buy a new car and given my medical condition I will have to compromise my freedoms of driving which will be hard to accept but would be a reality I would have to face. #driving #freedom #runintotheground #nissasentra #131kmiles #200kmiles #250kmiles (at Levittown, New York)
