🏃♀️What’s the most #sociallyconscious way to handle old running shoes?👟 I’ve researched a few options, but wanted to crowdsource also, to write in my next blog post. BACKGROUND: Runkeeper recently informed me that I’ve run a full 250 miles in these Nikes! * 250 miles is the absolute max you should run in a pair of shoes. I knew when my knees were starting to hurt for the last 15+ miles that the cushion was in fact gone. * Running shoes shouldn’t be worn for walking or other exercise because of the way your gait changes when running. But if there’s a way to repurpose them... * Soles are in good condition, and shoes look good, no cracks, tears or even worn looking spots (even running 250 miles in them all over the world!) #runningcommunity #runnersofinstagram #runnergirl #runner4life (at Venice) https://www.instagram.com/p/CKo8V8En2ME/?igshid=1gjlz8if8o5pu
