Interval Running!
One of things I had to give up when diagnosed was running. I ran competitively in high school and just for fun in college. My knees, hips and thighs were really impacted by the high intensity of my workouts. So this week I've adopted interval running and let me tell you this is the best moderation I've tried so far. My method: Scale 1 (slow pace, think cool down) 5 (moderate pace, think arms pumping but not yet running) 10 (your fastest, this can be a sprint or a jog. Go at your own speed) WARM UP at a 1 for 5 mins WALK one telephone pole (TP) length at a 5 RUN two TP's at a 10 And I do this for 20 mins or until I reach 1 1/2 miles. The rest time between running really allowed my body to recover and work a little harder to keep my heart up so that ultimately helping me manage POTS as well. If you do this let me know if it helps you! Remember go at your own pace and moderate it as needed. My body is not your body & vice versa. I hope it works for some if you :)
