In the real canon Tiffany wouldn’t even be there - she would become a badass vengeful MC in another book where she would embark on the rescue mission looking for the real Ethan Ramsey kdfjkgjdfkg

But if Ethan did take her for granted the way the impostor in OHTY does, she’d definitely pretend to be asleep and then tease him about it in the morning 😂

Living The Dream

Ethan's quiet snoring interrupts her fitful sleep, pushing her out of the endless expanse of her mind. Stray beams of sunlight blind her through transparent curtains as she tries to adjust to the morning light. She blinks twice, drinking in the serene vision breathing loudly on her neck.

That infernal, grunting sound proves what Tiffany's already suspected—it's been a restless night for them both. Judging by the snoring pattern, he must've just fallen asleep.

The intensity of his snores increases to the point she has to stifle the urge to laugh. Her tired, heavy-lidded eyes rove around his features glowing in the mellow sun.

He's divine.

She would pause this moment and live in it forever if she could—with their limbs tangled up together for comfort and safety, his head resting on her bare shoulder, snuggling so close there's nothing between them but skin on skin.

He's divine and flawed and she's in love with every single piece that makes him whole.

She doesn't want to wake him up, but her hand instinctively dives into his hair and he groans at the mere touch.

„Shh.” Her lips peck on his forehead as she whispers. „Don't move.”

„I didn't plan to.” Ethan shifts slightly, placing his face between her breasts. „I'm quite comfortable where I am.”

„Is your pillow not soft enough?”

„I found something much better.” His scratchy kisses run along her sensitive skin, setting her on fire again.

„I see you did.” She chuckles, basking in the sensation of his gentle caress for a longer while.

A mysterious smile twists her mouth as she finally breaks the meaningful silence. „I've had the most intriguing dream about you.”

Their eyes lock immediately, a barrage of thoughts drops between them and the air charges with a newfound electric feeling. He doesn't say anything, waiting for Tiffany to start the story.

„You've confessed your devotion to me.” She pouts, fluttering her dark lashes at him. „Said you've never felt this way about anyone.”

Ethan heaves a deep sigh, swallowing loud. „That...That wasn't a dream.”

„Said that I'm the love of your life.” She ignores him, a flicker of mischief dancing in her emerald eyes.

„Wait, that's not...” He blurts out when recognition dawns on him all of a sudden. „You weren't asleep, were you?”

She shakes her head, beaming from ear to ear. The bluest of eyes scan her thoughtfully before Ethan manages to treat her with a smirk.

„You're impossible.”

„And you're so in love with me.”

His smile only widens, gaze pierces right through her and she forgets how to speak for a second.

„It appears so.” His face is inches away from hers now and they almost share a breath.

„And I'm so in love with you.”

Their eyes maintain the dialogue they've been having for years, only confirming the shared melody jumping in their hearts.

„Are you certain that's not a part of your dream?” He mumbles into her mouth, teasing her with his touch.

„At the risk of seeming cheesy...I'm living that dream.”

All right fam, ask box is closed and you’re running on queue for now while I start my medical treatment. I’m not anticipating any complications but it is my body we’re talking about so you never know! I’ll try to keep you updated and you’ll probably see a few posts from me tomorrow from the oncology center where the IV infusion is being done, but at the very least I’m giving myself the long weekend off to recover.

Thank you so much for your kindness, your well wishes and your staggeringly overwhelming support of late. I know the blog hasn’t been much fun what with the whole “the content creator’s nervous system is shutting down and attacking itself”, but hopefully tomorrow is the start of what has been a very, very long road towards diagnosis and recovery and then I can go back to my old self.
