POV you filled your quill with too much ink, so you let your thoughts run until your ink runs out:
This is not poetry nor art, yet it is an attempt at throwing around words to reach a sense in these late hours. As I waste my time with fancy swings of my feather, the second run into tomorrow, into a sleepy dream of a day yet to be experienced. I shall chase those sweet moments soon enough, before though my ink has to run out of words. My thoughts are full enough to drain every last drop. Too many things I'm considering and imagining. It's most likely the reason I'm still up at this time, that calls for my rest and relaxation. Not long until my body will hit the warm comfort of a pillow and blanket, giving in to gravity and the exhaustion of the day. If it was greed or an uneducated use of my materials matters not, but the amount of ink and time I'm using to write sparkling nothingness on this paper. Surely my midnight rambling won't rhyme me any sense later but it'll do for now. Perhaps my thoughts can be drowned by actively using them (yay for journaling). I wish to drown them out with love and magic, filling my headspace with memories of smiles......
It's January 1st and I had so many thoughts already in one day 😵💫 I need to calm that nervous system down. There's a whole year ahead.
on my morning run and i was listening to the hamilton soundtrack and i just want to ask-
why do both american and british people not say the letter "r"
like british people say water like watuh
and then american people say father like fatha?
even if its subtle i obviously recognise it as someone who doesnt have these accents
Whilst on my run this morning I was thinking about Eric Bana again (*cough* as one does…apparently 👀 ) and it occurred to me that I can’t think of any of my favourite movies that wouldn’t be EVEN BETTER is he were in them. Not *replacing* existing leads, necessarily, bc that wouldn’t work for many of the films I have in mind…but at least acting alongside in secondary roles etc. So then I imagined Eric Bana in Interstellar (!); in LOTR (!!); in Gladiator (!!!); in The Prestige (!!!!); in Inception (!!!!!); in The Martian (!) in Star Wars (💥)
Okay okay, I may be slightly biased, yeah. But when I think about the way he inhabits his roles and how charismatic he is on screen…
I just.. I feel robbed!
First run since my jaunt to Mt. Balingkilat. Medyo halata pa din ang tan line pero bumabalik na din dati kong kulay. I enjoyed my tan while it lasted kasi feeling ko galing akong beach. Summer came early ang peg.
Anyway I ran just 3 kms with a 5:24/km pace. Since gusto kong bumilis ulit I decided to focus on maintaining my target 5k pace while I gradually increase my distance. Nung nagte-train kasi ako for the marathon I sacrificed much of my speed habang pahaba nang pahaba tinatakbo ko, though expected naman na yun bilang less than 2 months na lang before the event nung nakabalik ako sa training.
This time November pa yung marathon na sasalihan ko, tapos I organized my race calendar in such a way na puro 10k races sasalihan ko this summer, then pagdating ng rainy season puro half marathons na. Last event na sa calendar ko yung marathon. Let's see how it goes.
I went for a run late last night — in the rain, no less — and it was glorious: Cool enough to be comfortable but surprisingly not as humid as it usually gets after a FL torrential downpour, quiet and empty (with the exception of a myriad of frogs I had to dodge). October 20th is now the set date for a final decision in regards to a potential career change. That’s over a month. I’ve been very much restless and the thought of likely continuing to be in this state for the next six weeks sucks. But I’m grateful that there’s at least a modicum of hope while I’m actively working on a plan B.
My prediction is I’m going to do a lot of running.
And with all the love she could give me at that time she whispered in my ear ''see you in summer. maybe..'' and kissed me on the cheek. I haven't heard from her since. And the rain hasn't stopped falling. Just like me whenever she was around. Wondering if I see her again. Along with the sun. Because no winter will last forever.
