flash – favorite movie?

if I’m only allowed to pick one, it’d be Only Lovers Left Alive… I can’t really explain why because it’s not what I usually watch (sci-fi and detective stories, mostly) and it’s kinda really slow but I just really,, vibe with the tone and aesthetic of this film (it’s basically vampires being existential with a bit of guitar porn so actually, I can explain exactly why I like it so much lmao)

smile – when you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a surgeon (for quite a long time as well, like between the ages 4 - 9 I was absolutely convinced that I’d go to med school. then I found out how hard med school actually is and also realised I probably couldn’t handle the pressure of having someone else’s life in my hands)

cheese toast – favorite food?

is it cheating if I say fruit? because honestly, I’m an extremely fussy eater and most proper meals I tolerate, rather than enjoy. but I love fruit, be it citruses, berries, apples, bananas, etc. 

most of my friends make fun of me because more than half of my weekly shopping is always just fruit 

japan – favorite place you’ve traveled to?

Ostia Antica! it’s kind of like Pompeii but nicer imo - there’re fewer tourists and it’s smaller so you can actually walk through the whole town and enjoy it properly. plus it’s very close to Rome which makes the trip a lot more enjoyable, too. I’ve been there three times but I’d still go again

thanks for the ask Will! I always hate being ‘negative’ when answering ask games but what can I do, right?  

this was kinda hard for me to do tbh because, as I’ve explained in my previous answer, I’m not really into 80s queen and I’ve literally only listened to this album once. bonus fun fact: I had to check like, 3 times that you actually said The Works because I constantly get it mixed up with The Game. my brain sees the word ‘The’ and it’s like “oh, it’s this album” witch makes it hard for me to tell them apart lmao

1) Hammer To Fall

this is the song that really stuck with me after watching the movie for the first time. I’d never heard it before and I still remember when it came on during the Live Aid scene and I was just like,, YEA! I really like this. which is why I made it my url when I first started, although I have to say that I don’t really listen to it as much anymore. I was gonna say that it’s my favourite on this album because it’s the heaviest one but I’m worried I’m gonna sound like a broken record if I keep saying this lol

2) Is This The World We Created…?

almost as a rule, despite my preference for heavier and faster music, there’s always a very nice and calm song that makes my top 3 for some reason. World We Created is a beautiful piece of music with an important massage and I think that very few things can top the power of it being performed during Live Aid 

3) Tear It Up

I honestly struggled to come up with a third song to put here because the former two are the only ones that I actually listen to. it’s got to be Tear It Up though. it’s fun, it’s heavy enough for me and nothing beats the shock I experienced when I found out it was a brian song 

+ an honourable mention: It’s A Hard Life because I love the opening of that song
