I just got a weird AU idea what if Gilbert was smol. But like really smol. Like, he’s from a kind of really tiny people who aren’t different from us but just way more little. And they live in the walls and steal things from us.

What if one day Gilbert go in Ivan’s house, as he already did several times, to steal some things, but Ivan catches him. Because he’s really picky about details and noticed that some of his sewing supplies were disappearing, and he’s the type of guy to believe in spirits and stuff like that. But Gilbert is scared and doesn’t trust him when Ivan says he’s not going to hurt him so he manages to escape but get badly hurt when going in the street, and Ivan brings him back to his home and take care of him and then Gilbert starts to trusts him more and more and they start bonding ?

I can also imagine that Ivan met him the first time when he was hurt, because Gilbert was actually escaping an other house where an human made him prisonner and was actually mean to him. 

Idk which I like better.

Imagine Ivan’s scarf being actually really wide, like those scarfs that are like folded in really tiny folds and look like regular scarfs but are actually really wide.

Imagine Gilbert often borrowing Ivan’s scarf and playing with it, wrapping it around his shoulder, around his waist to make like a belt,

I have a mighty urge to draw Gilbert crying in Ivan’s arms.

But like… it’s not about something in particular. He’s sad and tired and anxious so he starts crying, and Ivan gently comforts him, gives him his oversized sweater, gently rocks him in his arms like a baby, and let some kisses on the top of his head, and Gilbert slowly calms down, and eventually falls alseep in Ivan’s arms…

Since I really love this idea of Kaliningrad/Königsberg personnified being Ivan and Gilbert’s child, here’s some random thoughts and scenes I got earlier in mind…

I can imagine that Kaliningrad never had a personification so far, but got it from the fact Ivan and Gilbert has been closer (in a rusprus perspective of course), and since they’re either the original founder of the city or the “ruler” of the city, and what, from my point of view, it keeps Gilbert “alive”, it has been powerful enough to make him appears. That’s probably terribly innacurate, but well.

I think they’d look more like prussia, since there were related to Prussia until the end of the WW2, and always been related to Prussia.

I can imagine than when they met with their “dads”, Ivan would have proposed a name like Dimitri, and Gilbert would have been like “what ? nah, that’s so russian and common ! Let’s think of something better… Friedrich ! it’s good”

“Friedrich ? really original, your dad’s name !”

“And ? it’s a really good name and old Fritz was a good man ! It’s not like “Dimitri” “

“Dimitri is a really pretty name, and it’s related to a lot of good persons too” (pouty Ivan of course)

“Yeah, but it’s too common, and my child has to have an awesome name”

“Well that’s my son as well and-”

And then I can imagine Kaliningrad/Königsberg being like “I like both”. and Ivan and Gilbert looking at him like “what ?” , and the child repeating “I like both”, with a huge happy smile. And then poiting at them like “dad dimitri and dad Friedrich. Both are awesome.”

I just took those names but it can be anything else ><

I’m sorry that it’s so crappy, it’s just random thoughts I had while trying to fix the internet connexion x.x please be kind if I said some awfully inacurate things.

There’s so many things that are wrong in this picture, but oh well, it’s just a self-indulgent (I hope I use this word in the right meaning ><) doodle of Ivan spoon-feeding his merman boyfriend who refuses to eat with proper ustensils, like said here (linked to this drawing)

Imagine this merman!Gilbert, being on earth since a moment, when a heavy rain starts to fall… 

He’d go outside, almost naked, and let the rain fall on his body. He knows rain, but this time is different, because he’s not a merman, and he’s not in the sea. The feeling of the water dripping on his body is different, and starts making him nostalgic. Ivan would probably go outside and make him enter in the flat, afraid that he’d fall sick. But he’d quickly notice that Gilbert seems to feel bad, so he’d take him to the sea. Ivan would probably think that finally, earth-life isn’t good for Gilbert, and that he’s going to leave him. Especially when seeing Gilbert so happy to go to the sea.

But once Gilbert is in the water, turned back into a merman, he would call Ivan to join him. Ivan’d undress and join him, and they would swin under the water. Not too far from the shores though, but enough for Gilbert to show him a lot of beautiful things. He would often “kiss” Ivan to give him air, since Ivan can’t breath underwater, and they would spend a lot of time doing so… eventually they’ll come back on earth. 

But after that, they’d often go to the sea to dive. Most of the time, Ivan would take a proper diving-suit with oxygen bottles (not that being almost naked/naked (I can’t choose /)w(\) with Gilbert kissing it isn’t pleasant, but it’s not the most convenient), and they would swim for hours, with Gilbert being a merman…

I’m still supposed to be working.

I still can’t draw properly.

But still here’s a sketchy doodle thing based on this and  this

Okay, but merman!Gilbert discovering phones, and especially smartphones. Imagine him getting all impressed and also excited about applications and stuff. Imagine him loving taking pics and selfies, and suddenly being like “I’m going to take an underwater selfie ! I bet it would be cool !” and running into the bathroom.

It would take a moment for Ivan’s brain to realize.

Too late.

And this is how Ivan’s phone died.
