What about american accents in russian?

Well, America is the one country that even people who avoid politics inevitably have an opinion on, so the perception of an American accent is going to be influenced by that opinion.

But other than that, the soft pronounciation of hushing sibilants (like ш - sh) makes the speech sound kinda... cute? And non-rolling R’s is something that people with English accent and Russian children have in common, because that’s usually the last letter we learn how to pronounce properly as we grow up, normally mastering it at the age of 5-6. So... yeah, soft and cute! :P

My art teacher knows that I'm learning Russian, so occasionally when he calls on me to answer (the class is fundamentals of art) he says "In Russian" so now when I give my answer and he likes my answer, I try and translate it when I get home. Hurray for my art teacher helping me learn Russian.
