Donut hasn’t started drinking the water yet. You ever think that’s why Sarge told the boys they ran out of water? So they would stop drinking it? Project Freelancer did some pretty crazy stuff. It would explain why the other Red and Blue bases in S3 had such hive-minded fanatics in them.

Grif can’t even call shotgun before Simmons in S1. Grif is in the worst part of his timeline and Simmons is living his best life. Lopez can’t talk, Donut hasn’t arrived to change the dynamic, and Sarge favors Simmons and teams up with him to bully Grif about imaginary animals. Simmons is the cool private on Red Team.
