WELL!!!! Ok, so the main power in Jojo (now) is the usage of stands which is pretty much the manifestation of their fighting spirit or whatever and gives users certain abilities and it’s really fun to analyze how stands relate to their users personality-wise, but that’s something else entirely. Let it be known that only stand users can physically see, sense, and hear stands interacting with the world. So while stands fights are going on and being wild and stuff, normal people just see the aftermath of effects (keep this in mind).

Giorno’s power is literally and at its base the creation of new life via Gold Experience (his stand). However, what he does exactly is basically a callback to other powers namely in part 1 and part 2 (this is one of the reasons why interacting with the series chronologically is important) namely Kars (the originator of vampirism in the series / an immortal and very beautiful pillar man) and Dio (another vampire and Giorno’s dad) and Jonathan’s hamon (Jonathan is also Giorno’s other dad but like in a weird way via antics and nefarious schemes). 

Kars’s powers are cellular manipulation for creating and alternating life which is basically Giorno’s main power since, ya know, he is creating little animals and speeding up the growth of things and making new body parts and whatnot when needed. This is why he’s so adamant that his powers aren’t healing; he is just replacing missing parts with other parts; he’s not really healing anything but it works out.

Dio’s power is time manipulation, basically, and that’s shown through how Giorno is able to slow down people’s mental processes by speeding up time for them so that everything is too fast to keep up with and causes them to freeze in place. (He kinda just fills their body with so much energy that it gets weird for them.) This actually can go more in-depth and absolutely wild, but that is spoiler territory. 

Jonathan’s ability, hamon, is based around the sun and Giorno is a boy with so much sun imagery surrounding him it’s ridiculous. At one point, Jonathan is shown being able to bloom flowers with his hamon since it is harnessing the power of the sun, and accelerating the growth of plants is something that Giorno can do. So I like to see this more as a Jonathan callback than a Kars callback when it comes to the plants. 

I call him a minor god in jest, but to someone who isn’t aware of stands, Giorno is very much close to a minor deity with how much he can do. Also if you take in the fact that he’s technically a dhampir in everything but abilities then sure, why not.

⤷  ` did they ever ruin something they couldn’t have out of spite ?DENY all he wants , but Shoichi hides a  SPITEFUL CREATURE.  A lot of his extremities resulted from complete utter spite, may it be burning all his books to become a musician or returning to the future, time and time again just to ‘ see if it works ’. However, his spite is self directed , surprisingly spitefulness was never involved when it came to Byakuran or the fact that he’d willingly sacrifice people for this cost.  That’s more of a duty than anything else. 

⤷  ` what’s the most important material object they own ?Shoichi isn’t very materialistic , most things can be replace  after all ,  which is why a lot of times  ‘ his important material object ’  are things either given to him. I’d like to think he is careful with the gifts he receives; in a flurry of his messy room, your present will always be tuck somewhere he won’t lose it. 

⤷  ` do they enjoy being at the center of attention ? For someone that wanted to be a musician, Shoichi’s goal was never actually ‘ popularity ’, he wanted to make music and for people to focus on that instead of him.  He likes being a background character so he would never enjoy attention; it’s probably a STRESS more than anything else.   (  He’d rather manipulate & lead things from behind too; he’s suited to be a right-hand man sort of guy or have a proxy dummy to pose as the face leader pfft )

Fluorite Bearings: How strongly do they listen to their intuition? Is their intuition usually correct or incorrect?

While Kurama does do a lot of strategizing in his head during fights and otherwise, intuition helps make up a bulk of his decisions. Mainly because he needs to get a read on others and the situation, so it’s best to listen to his gut during times like this since once he has a proper feel on how things are, he can figure out the best course of action to take. He’s almost always correct in cases like this; that’s what makes him such a formidable opponent though he might not look like much physically.

I will say that Kurama is 100% capable of fighting with instinct alone in moments where he completely clears his mind and lets his actions take over. He is, undoubtedly deadlier in cases like this as his instincts and body are honed in a way that allows him to make and act upon decisions in less than a second. Luckily, this is saved only for moments when he finds himself at an emotional high and needs to stop his thoughts, or when his opponent just happens to be a mindreader.   

Ruby Craze: Are they a passionate person or do they tend to be more down-to-earth?

Overall, Kurama is rather down-to-earth; he’s very levelheaded and likes to think through things properly before doing them. To people that don’t know him well, he might seem a little overambitious with his claims or what have you, but he’s going to figure out a way to get what he wants whether you want him to or not. He doesn’t necessarily spout outrageous claims all the time, just things he knows are facts. He has the benefit of being the calmest person in his friend group, so that definitely helps his image compared to the others.  

Ruby Light: Are they the sort to wear their heart on the sleeve? If not, why?

Genuinely feeling and allowing himself to act on his emotions is a completely new thing for Kurama; as in the last nine to ten years kind of new. He’s at a mix where he’s definitely comfortable being emotional around people he trusts, i.e. being worried for their sakes, being happy when they’re happy, admitting and accepting when he needs help, telling his mother that he loves her every day, and reverting a little back to old habits when he isn’t. With Kurama, it’s pretty much situational and depending on who he’s around and what he’s doing at the time. He doesn’t like the idea of allowing people he doesn’t completely trust the benefit of truly knowing him since he’s many cases where people he cared about were threatened just by knowing him.

“where’s rauji?” because obviously he would know. shadow looming, breathing loud, lambo peered down at enma with those signature bug eyes. “lambo-san didn’t know you came to play in the mafia land place, too. why are you a rabbit? do you like carrots?” a sticky hand took one of the ears as if to demonstrate, lightly swinging it―maybe once sniffing it―before lambo released his tiny fingers, plopping onto the grass beside enma. “rauji, rauji! i wanna play with rauji now! lambo has been alone in this big, weird place... hey, did you hear mamma, too? is mamma here, too?” // @rvbbithvrt

I say don’t ask me to rank the Joestars because I like all of them, but everyone knows that Giorno Giovanna is the best boy, the #1 of my heart, that has ever graced our presence, and I will defend his honor with my life. Can you believe Araki made a literal pretty boy angel minor god and just Giorno pretty and strong!!!! I’ll never shut about him.

are all the parts of jojo connected / chronological or is there some time / parallel universe bs going on or what

Yes!! All parts are actually connected pretty nicely since it follows the Joestar lineage through generations, so if someone says just skip to part so and so they are wrong and you probably shouldn’t listen to them. Part 1 (aka Phantom Blood) especially is very important since it sets down the whole basis for all other 7 parts of the series but that is also the one some fans tell others to skip but it’s enjoyable in my opinion. They actually just say skip to the Stands but I promise you, you will be confused and be missing plot points and background information if you do this.  

I will say part 5 (Vento Aureo) acts in a weird limbo space where it’s obviously connected but not as hard and fast as part 6 (Stone Ocean) and this mainly because Giorno is in an entirely different country than where the other Joestars are located (Japan and America).

This park has a particularly nice pond, and Chuck had long decided that this is her favorite. It’s fairly quiet, and the collection of ducks and geese there tend to bob around and occasionally come up to nip at her shoelaces. For now, she’s content to sprawl out on a bench, long legs taking up nearly all the room as she listens to music, the playlists she’d made on the phone she had the first time still saved. 

Really, she’s so happily invested in this, that she doesn’t notice someone nearby until she turns her head and startles, nearly coming off the bench. “Ack-” It’s the sound of someone desperately trying to move, and to untangle her stuck leg from the arm of the bench.

“I’m so sorry, did you want to sit? I’ll make room-”
