SMMR of RWBY - Telling Without Saying - RWBY's Silent Storytelling

People often point to the fight scenes, interesting characters, or the world of Remnant itself when talking about RWBY's greatest strengths. However, one aspect of the show I believe doesn't get enough praise is when it succeeds in subtly and "silently" conveying information to us. Let's break that down and see both how and why it works!

To the surprise of no one, the RWBY FNDM has some incredible talent! In RWBY's current hiatus, we wanted to come together to shine a light on these labours of love, and inspire even more! Since the fans are many, the love is a lot and timezones are plenty: instead of a one-off event like RTX, the many events for SMMR of RWBY will take place over a month-long period of time! ROSを使ったSLAM構築-備忘録1

キーワード：Stereo Camera

前のブログで私は学生時代にステレオ計測の研究をやっていたと言いましたが、SLAMも多少やっていました。SLAM(Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)は発展途上の技術で有名どころでは自動運転車に搭載されているアルゴリズムです。ROSはセンサの可視化や座標変換ライブラリが用意されていることから自律移動開発に優れているらしいですね(^^)。

前回でステレオカメラのキャリブレーションは完了しているので、今回はステレオ計測とその結果の可視化にチャレンジしたいと思う。

まずはステレオ計測。使用するパッケージはstereo_image_procです。

ステレオ計測結果はsensor_msgs/PointCloudという形式で出力されます。そして、この形式のデータを可視化するツールがRvizです。 （Rvizってなんて読むんですかね？知ってる人いたらおしえてください）

実際に構築したlaunchファイルは私のGitHubリポジトリにアップしてるのでここを参照してみてください。

launch起動中に以下のコマンドを実行することで取得画像の確認とdisparityの確認が行えます。

$ rosrun image_view stereo_view stereo:=/stereo_camera image:=image_rect_color _approximate_sync:=True

launchファイル起動時に「rqt_reconfigure」ウィンドウが立ち上がると思いますが、このウィンドウでステレオ計測のパラメータ調整が行えます。disparity画像が上手く表示されない場合はパラメータを適所いじってみてください。上記のように綺麗に表示されるようになったら次はRvizを観てみましょう。 Rvizも launchファイル実行時に起動されているはずです。

New video: Teleoperation using ROS, Rviz and Interactive Marker Twist Server #ros #jetsontk1

In this new video a demonstration of the teleoperation of MyzharBot using the “Interactive Marner Twist Server“, an amazing Rviz tool that allows to send Twist (linear and angular speeds) messages to the “serial_bridge” node  simply dragging a circular marker.

The joining with uNav project has done!

The joining with uNav project has done! @OfficineRobotic #ROS

Finally the migration to uNav project by Officine Robotiche has been done. The RoboController board now runs the same firmware as the uNav board and all the node to interface with ROS framework are fully working.
