Did you get Hunter's cancer, or are you just a Whomp?
And with that, the Q&A finally comes to a close.

Could Pebbles have succeded in crossing himself out without moon's intervention? Personally i don't think so.
Well his Experiment was an attempt at Removing the Self-Destruction taboo so even if THAT succeeded (which I doubt it would because I don't think the resource drain was Sustainable, but idk) he would still have to find a method to cross himself out
EP: I'm just saying that for all the research we are doing, all the theories we have, it's strange that we leave this path untrod.
EP: It is not a new idea, but it needs to be vented occasionally. What if there is no universal solution? What if perception is in fact existence, and when Sliver of Straw sent the triple positive it was not a mistake? What if crossing oneself out, or even just death, is the way? We need to consider the possibility."
Further, he was also trying to Experiment with the Solution (or the possibility of a Lack Thereof) and I don't quite see how it would have been feasible for him to report his findings even if he DID get his answers... But that's going on a bit of a tangent
It's certainly possible that if he succeeded in removing his taboo, he could have crossed himself out. But I'm not very confident he would've been able to remove it. that's the tl;dr
i’m bored so . ask me to draw scug ships for a limited time. and i might
edit: The moment has passed.
Do you think they still have video games after ascending.
I think they can likely conceive of experiences functionally similar to video games, but I am not sure all that works and would be replicated... I guess it would be like playing video games without the physical sensation of manipulating a controller? or maybe they could recreate the sensation, too.
...I don't know I don't know what happens concretely after you ascend we can only go off of theories lol. (this works off the idea that what you perceive is something you can determine, I guess? beings of light freed from carnal prisons... and that they can communicate those ideas with others in the world beyond ... i don't know how to articulate this tbh. it's something i understand intuitively and can feel but can't really put it into words. also this "sea of perception" (i dont know if thats even the best label) is very self-indulgent to my particular wants and desires.
but i guess that is my Personal Interpretation for you. so like, kind of
what are your thoughts on the ripple spawn leviathan? it’s one of my favorite creatures.
oh!!! this scene was so striking; i remember being in awe the first time i witnessed it...
This room is called "egg" in the code iirc, which is also interesting!!! I really liked how setting the ripplespawn free culminated in this... I guess the giant ripplespawn here has a greater cognition than the mindless floaters and swimmers we see elsewhere? I'm not sure what this implies.
You also have the ripplespiders that appear to guide you towards portals afterwards. again, it's interesting that there are ripplespawn or ripplespawn-adjacent creatures that don't fit the description Spinny gave us
( watcher 1.5 spoilers )
Do you feel that the Iterators are intentionally designed to portray the Benefactors as short sighted? No way to mantain infrastruxture long term, decaying network infrastructure, inability to move locations and like trapping the puppets in tiny boxes. Seems like they were designed with people being around to keep them working.
I think the Ancients wholeheartedly believed in their efficacy tbh
but I also do think they probably expected them to last longer without their maintenance than what ended up happening. so yeah I think they didn't plan enough for the long long-term.
but I also think it might've been hard to maintain a consistent vision across generations of people; perhaps there is also an aspect of assuming that those who came before adequately prepared their creations. And there's also the issue of who do you hold Responsible? I doubt the majority of Citizens had anything to do with the creation and maintenance of Iterator Projects. Do we still hold those people responsible? I don't know. It's really tragic, though. Even those that would have wished to remain probably couldn't stay very long, as all of the infrastructure that existed to support Citizens would have crumbled after everyone else left. If only they had had dedicated maintenance teams, or something.
Hey, Artificer, who do you like the most out of all your companions?
I think the answers are rather conclusive, don't you?

uh... oops.
